I had a hard time getting to sleep as the mattress smelled of cigarette smoke. And this was a non-smoking room. They must've allowed smoking for a long time before the switch. I think the room was worth $25. But I paid 50 for it.

I have stayed at many higher end places, but it's always nice to come across a sweet ol' motor lodge that is well maintained and still carries a reasonable price. The cost is very reasonable and the location is perfect for those that want to walk to dinner or just cruise town. They are very helpful and nice and don't... More

Nothing really special about this hotel except that it is clean and located in an interesting little town. The room did have a small refrigerator and microwave, new bathroom fixtures, and a reasonably comfortable bed. And the price is excellent. I would probably stay here again if I were in John Day

In the Dreamer's Lodge, we found a comfortable, safe, enjoyable accommodations we were looking for in the John Day location. The lodge as well as all the staff, and especially the overseers, are extremely mindful of their guests. They go out of their way to ensure that the guests have an enjoyable stay with them. We were happy to stay... More

When you're on a road trip it can be an adventure to step out of the box and check into a small town, home owned type motel....but we're always up for an adventure! Given that the Best Western two blocks down the road was $112 a night....we thought that $60 for a room at the Dreamers Lodge was worth a... More

The Dreamer's Lodge is an old-school motel and for the price ($65+tax), it's a good deal. Our 2nd floor king room was large and clean with two upholstered chairs, a work table, free Wi-Fi, a flat screen TV, and a micro and fridge. It's right downtown and has easy access to the Outpost restaurant which we went to for dinner... More

Accommodating and polite staff, quiet area, plus with no vacancy on a Saturday so I was glad we had a reservation. Good location near the fairgrounds which was fun because there was bronc riding that night. Would stay again.

This motel was such a pleasant surprise! We had automatically called the Best Western to make our reservations, but they were booked. Thankfully, or we wouldn't have found this place. Clean, comfortable, conveniently located right next door to a great restaurant with excellent breakfasts, and a friendly, helpful staff. And the rate was $78 with all the taxes and such... More

We stayed here for 3 nights recently and found the hosts to be very pleasant and helpful. They really tried to make our stay pleasant. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The toilets seemed to be made for children, but that was the only negative thing we could say about the place. restaurants were nearby. Even though it was in... More

I have stayed here several times. Not much has changed over the years a hotel stuck in the past. Clean rooms & we had no neighbors on the top floor so it was nice & quiet. Really the best price in this town, $70 for a king room & that includes tax. Didn't see the staff but our room was... More
