We stayed in the Hideaway cottages. Although they are not on the river, they are very cute and cozy and peaceful. This is the third time I have stayed in them. There is a bedroom on the main floor and a loft with a queen size bed as well. There is a tiny kitchen, but complete enough to do any... More

While their 'every day' meals are delicious my favorite time to visit is the shoulder season when they host wine dinners with guest chefs and wineries. It's always fun to meet people at the pre-dinner-appetizer-glass-of-wine mingling in the library or during dinner in the main dining area, as you are usually seated with others at long tables. Not only are... More

We stopped here looking for a light lunch on route to Crater Lake Lodge. We stopped on the off chance and so glad we did. Best BLT I think I've had & the pie was delicious. If you're in the area you must stop! Service & people were great.

We stayed in cabin #5 for one night during a recent trip through Oregon and Washington. We were very happy with our accommodations. The room was a good size though had the smallest shower we encountered during our travels. The cabins are in the trees above the Umpqua River and the rushing waters lulled us to sleep after our visit... More

Stayed in a Creekside cabin right above the No. Umpqua river. Hear it roar all night. Peaceful. Great Shower. Near hiking, fishing, waterfalls. Stayed a week. Good food, good and helpful service, good resident cat. A relaxing spot in a beautiful area. No cell service. WiFi available in main dining area/library.

We planned a motorcycle trip with another couple for a long weekend. We planned our first night to be at Steamboat Inn. We arrived on a Friday night and joined the family style dinner. Upon arrival we were told dinner was duck. None of us like duck so we asked if there was any chance of a substitution. The men... More

We drove from Crater Lake to the Steamboat Inn, and the whole drive was through the long, narrow, beautiful National Forest named for the river there. Fir trees rise around you, lovely and green, as you drive for miles beside the North Umpquha River (sure hope I spelled that right!).Then there it is, the only place to stop for quite... More

Sadly, this is my least comprehensive review because I spent just eight hours here overnight. My friends dropped out of the Rim Run in Aug 2013 and I was left with a two-story cabin to myself. The interiors were spotless and the bed was super cozy. The tiny kitchen (rather too tiny) was good for a quick coffee before heading... More

I am in the minority in ranking this hotel average. The property is very dated, with no phone, no TV, no liquor license, and no wi-fi signal. Most of the patrons were there to fish the river, and others stopped there on their way to Crater Lake. If you stay here, it is the only restaurant for miles. And calling... More

We always strive to meet our guests’ needs but I know there are times we may miss the mark and, also, that we may not be a perfect fit for all travelers. That being said I would like to respond only to the inaccuracies in this review. We do have a liquor license for beer and wine, just not hard... More

On a previous trip from Crater Lake we stopped for breakfast and were impressed by the location, grounds and warm hospitality so that when we had the chance, we stayed overnight and enjoyed the family style dinner. This meant an hour detour. The warm night let us keep the porch door open and enjoy the soothing rush of the river, no... More
