Stayed in a Creekside cabin right above the No. Umpqua river. Hear it roar all night. Peaceful. Great Shower. Near hiking, fishing, waterfalls. Stayed a week. Good food, good and helpful service, good resident cat. A relaxing spot in a beautiful area. No cell service. WiFi available in main dining area/library.

We planned a motorcycle trip with another couple for a long weekend. We planned our first night to be at Steamboat Inn. We arrived on a Friday night and joined the family style dinner. Upon arrival we were told dinner was duck. None of us like duck so we asked if there was any chance of a substitution. The men... More

We drove from Crater Lake to the Steamboat Inn, and the whole drive was through the long, narrow, beautiful National Forest named for the river there. Fir trees rise around you, lovely and green, as you drive for miles beside the North Umpquha River (sure hope I spelled that right!).Then there it is, the only place to stop for quite... More

Sadly, this is my least comprehensive review because I spent just eight hours here overnight. My friends dropped out of the Rim Run in Aug 2013 and I was left with a two-story cabin to myself. The interiors were spotless and the bed was super cozy. The tiny kitchen (rather too tiny) was good for a quick coffee before heading... More

I am in the minority in ranking this hotel average. The property is very dated, with no phone, no TV, no liquor license, and no wi-fi signal. Most of the patrons were there to fish the river, and others stopped there on their way to Crater Lake. If you stay here, it is the only restaurant for miles. And calling... More

We always strive to meet our guests’ needs but I know there are times we may miss the mark and, also, that we may not be a perfect fit for all travelers. That being said I would like to respond only to the inaccuracies in this review. We do have a liquor license for beer and wine, just not hard... More

On a previous trip from Crater Lake we stopped for breakfast and were impressed by the location, grounds and warm hospitality so that when we had the chance, we stayed overnight and enjoyed the family style dinner. This meant an hour detour. The warm night let us keep the porch door open and enjoy the soothing rush of the river, no... More

We stayed in the streamside cabins on this very beautiful property. Our room had a sitting area, gas stove, and a screen door leading to the deck overlooking the river. The soothing sound of the water was ever present, and we did feel comfortable sleeping with our door open. As noted by others, there is no air conditioning (although a... More

My husband and I recently spent 2 weeks in Oregon. Our goal was really the beach with a short trip to Crater Lake. We couldn't get into the lodge at the lake so we "settled" on Steamboat Inn. We were so overwhelmed with the Inn....the room, the river, the view, the grounds, the people!!!! We had only allowed one night... More

This Inn is in the middle of nowhere- wonderful! We chose this as our base for our trip to Crater Lake National Park, rather than the overdeveloped Klamath Falls area. We were so pleased, but should have planned more time to just crash here. They have a fully stocked and comfortable library which would be great for a rainy day... More

We just got back from a lovely stay at Steamboat Inn staying at Maple Ridge Cabin. This place is truly a special find in an area that is full of beautiful nature alongside the Umpqua without much else to offer outside of camping. The views are top notch from the cabin and the sounds of the river at night, amazing.... More
