For the price of the room I was pretty disappointed. We stayed in room 2, which is just a bed and a bathroom, somewhere to sit would be nice. We could hear all our neighbors. Breakfast in the morning was a buffet bar and unfortunately the main dish had meat in it so we just walked down the street for... More

Some guests have described our rooms as charming and quirky. The description fits as we endeavor to make the most of the space we have in a 1909 home that was built when Hood River was a young settlement. Remodeled it into a boutique hotel, the rooms are clean, quaint and interesting, definitely not like a typical franchise hotel. We... More

The breakfast both days was amazing! And those twists in the cookie jar... I kept sending my husband down for more! But Sunday morning, I found out my husband had been uncomfy in the wooden chair. So he wanted to check out early. So while I was waiting in the van for him,he had a little confrontation with the desk... More

As the Hotel Administrator, it was never my intention for your husband to feel uncomfortable during our conversation. I was simply asking if the bedspread was used for another purpose or moved to a different location. Our housekeepers have an eagle eye for detail, and noticed that the bedspread was not on the bed. It is our policy to inquire... More

What a charming and delightful hotel! All of the amenities are great, and the breakfast is delicious. I like that a lot of the food, and other items come from the owner's farm. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed visiting with them. We had a room with a river view, which I highly recommend.

The staff was genuinely friendly, professional, and well-informed about the area. The hotel was comfortable and afforded everything that I needed, and is exceptionally well located in downtown Hood River The farm-to-table breakfast was a special treat. I will be a returning guest...

Pros: this hotel is in a prime spot. The staff is very welcoming and kind. The rooms are clean to a T and the breakfast is soooo yummy! Cons: the rooms, or mine specifically (suite #1) was soooo loud. My friend and I decided to celebrate our 35 birthdays at the Oak Street Hotel by relaxing, shopping, and exploring Hood... More

Thank you for your review. We are glad that you enjoyed our gracious hospitality and farm to table breakfast! In regards to your night stay, we would like to apologize for the noise and the interrupted sleep. Being a 1909 renovated home turned hotel there tends to be creaks and pings with plumbing, just like in any old home. With... More

My fiancé and I, both in their 30ies, loved the stay here! It is clean. It is unique and artzy, a very well taken care of hotel! Romantic and cozy! Very friendly owner and personnel. The owner made most of the interior ironwork by himself - very professional! They made a special vegetarian brekfast for us. During the whole day... More

I love Hood River and did a one night solo retreat. I wanted something cozy and close to town with good value. Oak St. Hotel was perfect. The rooms are smaller than a typical hotel room, but they are comfortable. There is so much to do in Hood River, you won't be in your room much. I loved being right... More

This hotel's location could not be better. You can leave your car in the parking lot and walk anywhere you want to go in downtown Hood River. The rooms are pretty small but not a big deal since we didn't spend much time there. The breakfast was homemade frittata with a couple pastries and yogurt, good but not too exciting.

Thank you kindly for the review. We hope you enjoyed your experience. Our location is indeed ideal, and yes some of our rooms are quaint and cozy as we are a renovated 1909 home; one of the first on Oak Street when it was just becoming a settlement! Please come again, we would love the opportunity to wow you with... More

After a horrible night in a nearby town, we decided to treat ourselves and were so glad we did. From the beautiful grounds and a wrap-around porch to the delightful room and farm-fresh breakfast, we could not have asked for more. The only down side was being on a busy street, which made the porch lounging a bit noisy during... More

This review is not for the hotel but for one of their properties, Country Club 9. Minimalist best describes it. Queen bed when there is room for a king. Only one night stand is not acceptable. No digital clock in the bedroom. Not a coat hanger in the unit. Small double sleeper couch when there is room for a queen.... More

Thank you for pointing out that this review is not for our lovely hotel. The property you refer to is privately owned and furnished by said owner. It is one of our most economical accommodations, which traveling families often find very attractive. I do apologize if you were looking for a more upscale experience; we have many more homes in...
