If you want a place close to shopping in Hood River yet experience peace and quiet go to Vagabond Lodge. Yes it is an older facility but very nicely kept up. Very clean and the views are worth more than the price you pay. Staff is very accommodating and friendly.

Thanks for the review! Our water comes straight from mountain glaciers, so it doesn't have the usual chlorine or fluoride found in other location's water. We did get coffee makers for each and every room, and there is always coffee, hot cocoa, tea, and spiced cider in the office. Thanks!

This place was recommended by a fellow photographer and it is a real find! It is an older facility - maybe 1980's. The motel is quite large (can't see that from the street) and the grounds are quite attractive. The rooms are immaculate and very spacious and the beds are comfortable.
