Great location to just park your car on arrival, then spend your time walking, shopping, and eating. Lovely historic building with comfy modern updates. Friendly staff. We stayed during a mild fall weekend; no air conditioning, but we were comfortable with the ceiling fan going and the window cracked open. They used to have a great little restaurant for breakfast,... More

This is a really cool old hotel upgraded with modern amenities. In a perfect downtown location, within walking distance of all the cool shops and restaurants. Staff are very friendly and helpful. As with most older buildings you can hear a lot but they have fans and ionizers in the rooms for your comfort and disposable ear plugs is one... More

I picked the Hood River hotel because my wife and I were looking for a place to stay in Hood River that allowed dogs. I saw HRH listed on bringfido and decided to check them out. We were staying an odd weekend, Sun/Mon and found out all rooms are $100 on Sunday night! It was a steal for the awesome... More

We enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel is 100 years old but has been nicely restored. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, even giving dinner recommendations. We took advantage of the discount and ate our breakfast at the hotel and enjoyed it very much. Some folks have mentioned the train noise but we didn't hear it, even though... More

Although they could not accomodate early check in we enjoyed walking the town.(purchase the parking pass first at hotel) Room 104 was small ,facing the river, but also the train tracks.(did not discover the ear plugs till morning) The best parts for us were...location,friendly staff, historic common area, and a great breakfast next door. Panoramic Point (5 min drive) has a... More

The lobby is lovely. Yes, The location is also perfect for all that is fun in Hood River. The front end staff are very nice. Touches of the old west abound. All that being said. Hood River can be really hot in the summer. There is no air conditioning, their are ceiling fans in the rooms. While they have breakfast,... More

Hello Bend, Oregon. Yes, we have a sweet location in downtown Hood River. This summer the temperatures were above average in the gorge. We wish we would have known about the conditions in your room being too warm. Our entire hotel i.e. guest rooms, lobby, restaurant and exercise facility is fully air conditioned. Had we known about the conditions we... More

If you like older, charming hotels then this is for you. Rooms small but had complete kitchen. Courtyard view is really a roof deck, a bit claustrophobic. Location is great. Walking distance to stores.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Hood River Hotel. The staff is super friendly and the room very pleasant. The price includes a $10 voucher for the restaurant. Try the eggs benedict it is amazing. The ONLY drawback is the noise. I 84 and the train tracks are one block away. They furnish ear plugs for a reason. The... More

We pulled up outside, completely by chance, and luckily got a whole suite at a great price. A historic, elegant and interesting place, stylish, quiet. The lobby is spectacular, the breakfast lavish (and you get a $10 discount!), the rooms very attractively decorated.

This hotel has been around for 100 years and yet it has adapted well to a more modern era. We were here for family wedding and the hotel provided a good location for pre-wedding gatherings both larger and and more intimate as well as plenty of distraction for the active toddlers. There was even a roomy mezzanine TV and board... More
