We wanted to getaway from the fires of No. Calif and were searhing for some quiet and relaxing time. We got the last oceanfront room on the second floor. The beds were very comfortable with high end linens and bathroms had thick towels and RUSK toiletries. There was also a flat screen TV, microwave, refrigerator and granite countertops plus free... more

We fled the fires in Oregon/Caifornia leaving Crater Lake after a night. Friends had recommended Tu Tu Tun in Gold Beach and when we called, it was booked. They recommended Pacific Reff. Stayed in the new building, second floor with a balcony overlooking the ocean. It is a walked down to the ocean, but all the properties looked like it... more

Following a disasterous night in Bandon, Oregon, we cancelled the second night of our planned stay based on the poor overall condition of the facility, and its location right on U.S. 101 with all of the associated traffic noise. The next morning we headed south, and quite by accident, found Pacific Reef Resort in Gold Beach, Oregon. It looked clean... more

This property has the nicest, cleanest ocean rooms on the entire Pacific Coast Highway. Our family has stayed up and down the Coast and nothing compares to the amazing room we experienced at the Pacific Reef Resort. Apparently, the rooms were recently upgraded to include top of the line furnishings. The noise between the rooms was bascially non-existence. The access... more

The majority of this property is slated for demolition soon to build a new resort. Wait until they are done .... its not worth the money now and is a worn down smelly overused write off. Its too bad that so many small properties on Hwy 101 on the Coast are lousy cheap outfits. They just dont get the QUALITY... more

The Sand & Sea Motel is converting to the Pacific Reef Resort & Hotel. It still has a lot to convert. Mostly the Resort is still on paper and in the planning stages and the motel is still there. Our room was large with a patio and view of the ocean (but the ocean is quite a walk away). A... more

I booked this hotel after reading Trip Advisor reviews (with some trepidation) given the wildly different opinions for what I at the time assumed was the same facility. My husband and I were on an extended business/leisure trip and had forgotten to bring the address of the hotel. We called information and they didn't have a listing for Pacific Reef... more

We found this hotel on the Gold Beach Chamber of Commerce Website. It supposedly was very new and very nice. The rate was $133.75. When we arrived the two desk clerks were eating pizza (one was in training). They were friendly enough, gave us our key and we drove down to the room When we opened the door it was... more

We stayed 7 days on the Oregon Coast looking for property. On this trip, we paid 57 to over 100 dollars for different motels along the coast - these are June rates. Our one night stay at the Sand ‘n Sea motel in gold beach was great, room size, with large vaulted ceiling, very clean, with a refrigerator, microwave, coffee... more
