Old and worn. Creaky beds that are lumpy. Clean? If you like the smell of clorox. The grounds are a mess. They charged us more money after I had booked this months in advance. I still don't get that one. I could go on but I think you get the idea. Save your money and move on down the road.

Pretty much as advertised except for a slight musty smell in the room. It appeared to be clean however and was neat as a pin. The proprietors were very friendly. The breakfast tidbits barely qualify as "breakfast" but this was no surprise so wasn't disappointing. We reserved the room at the Azalea not for the breakfast, nor for the relatively... More

All of the other reviews I read about this location were spot on! This motel is exceptionally clean, has a VERY large bathroom, and was a great place to stay. The owners were very nice and provided us a coupon to eat dinner across the street at Spinners. The room was plenty big enough, with a nice table and two... More

An older motel, extremely clean, the staff were as friendly and helpful as could be. My room was short on electric outlets, which was inconvenient. And it faced the highway, and so was noisier than the rooms in the back of the motel. But it was a good value. I skipped the complimentary breakfast because it had limited options, but... More

Traveling down 101 and really enjoying the scenery, we had booked a night here, perhaps based on other reviews. We wanted a cheap and cheerful, and comfortable, bed - we got it - we wanted clean rooms - we got it - and we wanted friendly staff - we got it! It is a small motel by the side of... More

That says it all. The owners maintain it very well. They may not be the most outgoing, but are polite, accurate and take very good care of their property. The bed was comfortable, there were 2 straight-backed chairs and a small table and a very long counter on a back wall to put stuff on. The bathroom was spotless, showed... More

We stayed at the Azalea Lodge on the recommendation of a family member. We were told it is very clean and also a basic room, meaning no frills. It was both and the price and location can't be beat..The bed was very comfortable. Very safe feeling.

We stayed in a room out back behind the front row . . very quiet back there and an IMPRESSIVE ceiling of beautiful clear timbers (not what I expect in a cookie-cutter-seeming roadside motel). Everything was spotlessly clean, and as others have pointed out it's affordable.

I've made a number of business trips to Gold Beach, and always stay here. It's an older single story motel, but it's very well maintained by the resident owners. The rooms are good sized and comfortable, as are the beds. For being right on Hwy 101, it's also surprisingly quiet. The rates are very reasonable, and the owners are very... More

Stayed here for two nights in July and I'd stay here again. The price is right, and the rooms are very clean. The location is nice and central in Gold Beach. However, the breakfast is kind of meager. And when I was getting my breakfast, the older woman behind the counter was pissing and moaning about small issue related to... More
