The room was very clean, at a cheap price. The bed was very uncomfortable,( unless you like hard as a rock) only two very thin cheap pillows. Every other place had no vacancy, I can see why this place had plenty of rooms left. It was dangerous driving the next day having no sleep.

I was there with my son, we are from Italy. I was just looking for a place to sleep after a long drive up the coast. Man, did we ever hit the jackpot. I know five-star hotels globally from my work. We were treated like VIP's at this place. It's just a motel, but I will never forget the kindness... More

This modest hotel is excellent value for money. The room was very clean (a high priority with us) and had a very comfortable bed. The owner was just lovely and very helpful. We could not recommend this place more highly.

I am American, but I live in Italy. I brought my Italian son to America for a car trip up the West Coast in July. This was the nicest place we stayed in, and the ladies who run the place were the nicest people we met in America. The room was clean as could be, modern, the TV stations were... More

We found ourselves looking for accommodation late in the evening as we came into Gold Beach. From the outset, I should say that it was never our intention to stop in a motel, preferring a hotel. We had visited 5 other motels in Gold Beach before coming to the Azalea and were somewhat shocked by the poor standard of those... More

This family-run basic hotel was roomy, comfortable and clean the woman who ran it was friendly, helpful and had a wonderfully subtle sense of humor. My traveling companions and I were quite pleased with our stay.

If what you want is a clean room, without all the extras you get at the chain hotels, this place will work. Because that's what you get. A clean room. Period. It's an old time outside door motels like you used to find everywhere, run by Mom and Pop. Good price, nice people no frills.

It's an older place with no fancy amenities. Our plan was to spend time outdoors, enjoying the Gold Beach area. We wanted no frills, cheerful and clean and we got it. The shower head and water pressure were remarkably good, and we have stayed in high-end hotels. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Old and worn. Creaky beds that are lumpy. Clean? If you like the smell of clorox. The grounds are a mess. They charged us more money after I had booked this months in advance. I still don't get that one. I could go on but I think you get the idea. Save your money and move on down the road.

Pretty much as advertised except for a slight musty smell in the room. It appeared to be clean however and was neat as a pin. The proprietors were very friendly. The breakfast tidbits barely qualify as "breakfast" but this was no surprise so wasn't disappointing. We reserved the room at the Azalea not for the breakfast, nor for the relatively... More
