The Azalea Lodge is one of the cleanest motels that we have stayed in,and we have stayed in a lot. The rooms are basic, but very clean particularly the bathroom which is important. Unfortunately, Gold Beach does not have a lot to recommend it, just a stretch of road on the 101 with 1 restaurant which is opposite the motel,... more

My wife and I stayed at Azalea Lodge on 9/21 and 9/22. We fished and hiked during the day, so our interest was in finding clean and reasonably priced sleeping accomodations. This motel best met both of our criteria. We asked for a room in the back courtyard of the motel (Room #111) which is further removed from traffic noise... more

The Azalea Lodge sign said 'Super Clean Rooms' which got our attention. The rooms are clean, and the woman in the office was quick and friendly during check in. The rooms are not fancy at all, more like a college dorm room. The Continental Breakfast not really a breakfast at all, coffee with powered creamer, danish and/or english muffin. Clean... more

Nice staff. Room was very clean and wifi was free. We looked at other motels, costing a lot more and they weren't as clean as this one. Basic motel but very clean and comfortable. more

This is the best place in town. There's no view but it is THE cleanest place in town. Good service, new beds, good value for the great quality. Don't be mistaken, there's nothing fancy about this place -- If you want that you should stay up at the Tututun lodge up the river. Otherwise, this is a great place and... more

We stayed at the Azalea Lodge while driving south along the coast from Seattle to San Francisco. This is the only hotel we didn't book in advance, and we couldn't have been more fortunate with our last minute choice. The Azalea Lodge is located in Gold's Beach, which is definitely worth a stop if you're passing through the area; the... more

We just happened onto Azalea Lodge while traveling the Oregon Coast. We wanted something clean, quiet and reasonably priced. All 3 of those goals were fulfilled. The woman in the office was very pleasant to us. Breakfast in the morning was the usual fare in a motel, but it gave us something to get us going. We werent' expecting a... more

This is our fourth year with Azalea and we are happy to see the continuing efforts in maintaining the property. As family owned, they are always ready to provide extra service. Washer/dryer and a working ice machine is a real plus when you are on the road for a major road trip. Breakfast is not "Comfort Inn", but a micro/reefer... more

Given another opportunity, I'd stay across the street where there is access to and views of the beach/ocean. This place is nothing special. I suppose it was clean enough, but the carpet was at least 35 years old...and there was food left behind in the freezer compartment of the mini fridge. Some might see that as a plus.... We had... more
