The good: reasonable price, great location, walking distance to the ocean. This hotel needs serious updating. Everything about it is old, the furniture looked like it was from the 60's, and the carpet was worn. Rooms were dark and dreary. I made the mistake of using their washer, after 2 washes I had to take my wet clothes to a... more

This is an oceanfront motel a little rough around the edges but an overall satisfactory stay. The breakfast was satisfactory too, eaten on folding office style tables. The rooms are a hodgepodge of successive remodels but all the elements are there. The beds I hear are new but alas they were not very comfortable but acceptable. You do get to... more

I'm from the Bay Area in California and it was truly a different spectacle to see compared to what we get down here. It's just endless beaches across the Oregon coast and beautiful scenery everywhere you go. The resort had to be the cherry on top, friendly and kind workers help you at all times 24/7 and the view from... more

This place is on the southern end of gold beach, oregon but is still in town so the location is great. all rooms have an ocean view, staff was great, nice pool and hot tub. there is a path directly from the rooms to the beach. If in Gold Beach, this is the place to stay. more

We went into the room to find drapes falling down from curtain rod. Thought we could live with it. The screen to the patio didn't slide open without fighting it. Well it wasn't long that the stains on the carpet, old mattress and noise from adjoining rooms made it clear this was hardly a resort. Spacious room, yes but... -... more

Our staff, here at Gold Beach Resort try our very best to please all guests. Customer satisfaction is very important to us. In May of 2009 we purchased new mattresses for all our rooms as well as 32" flat screen TVs. We added Belgium waffles to our complimentary breakfast that had already included, boiled eggs, assorted breads, english muffins, bagels,...

We had our first stay at the GBR&C and found all was fine. After reading the other reviews....sorry but we always try and stay on the top floor....much quieter. I also used the pool restroom and did not see anything wrong w/it....our room was spacious, bed comfy, (bring your own pillow if you can't sleep on hotel ones), bathroom was... more

My husband and I were traveling north for our anniversary and decided to look for a hotel in Gold Beach. This was the first one we saw and it looked decent enough on the exterior. When we inquired about a room we were assured that there was a wonderful jacuzzi suite available for both nights. Aside from the molding grout... more

My friend and I stayed here on our way back from the California coast. The room was huge and it looked right out onto the beach. There are paths to the beach right from the front of the hotel, but it was so windy we didn't take advantage of them. The room was also very clean. The beds were a... more

We were passing through and called a few places in Gold Beach. This seemed the best value (not least expensive) so we checked a room. We were told we would get the least expensive rate for a "non-view" room on the lowest floor (of 2). Our "non view" included the beach and the ocean. I guess because we were on... more

On June 14th, my husband and I attended our friend's wedding at Gold Beach Resort. When we arrived, the front desk clerks were extremely friendly and polite. They assisted us with our luggage, and made us feel very welcome. The room was very clean and updated. The view from our balcony was amazing. We were lucky enough to get the... more
