I came here for a weekend birthday trip. Upon checking in, the woman (per the other reviewers) charged my debit card for the night. Wonderfully, she accidentally multiplied the rate by TEN. That's right - $1,340 went immediately on my DEBIT CARD. Since I didn't have $1,340 to spare at the time, I was extremely distressed about this. She half-assedly... more

My girlfriend and I had planned a romantic weekend out of town and decided to head up the coast to Gold Beach, OR. I had heard good things about this place from a friend and decided to give it a try. We had a great time but I can see why some (based on other reviews) might have not liked... more

This was my second stay at the Inn of the Beachcomber, and I was every bit as pleased as I was with the first one. This time I had a cabana room with a deck that opened out onto the dunes within very short walking distance to the beach, so of course, I had a great ocean view. My room... more

I was a little hesitant to stay here after reading some of the reviews, but those people obviously didn't stay in the room we did. My 2 teenage boys, the dog and I stayed in one of the bungalow rooms. It was great. The room was decorated nicely. It was clean. The pilot light in the fireplace didn't always work... more

Sign out front says "Beachcomber Inn".....which is it? Stayed 4 nights by mistake and all 4 were put on my credit card at checkin. Their writeup on the website tells of eggs, yogurt, granola, etc for breakfast. There were none of these. I was told they had 'run out of eggs'. (hey..there's 2 grocery stores in town!) The 3 dry... more

While traveling down the Oregon Coast, I stopped at the Inn of the Beachcomber on September 10 to see if any rooms were available. I got lucky and one room was available, so I stayed 2 nights. I had stayed there previously the year they renovated and just loved the atmosphere. I especially like the Bungalows, where there is privacy... more

Remodled lately and was a great value. King bed unit down in front of the other units with a gas stove that heated up quickly. Great view of the ocean from the deck. Very comfortable bed. Best part was, total price with AARP discount was $103.00 (Oct. 16, 08). We ate the Rod & Reel both had a 14oz ribeye... more

Enjoyed our stay here very much. Had a room in the back with a deck that faced the ocean. Very quiet. Hotel staff were extremely friendly and eager to answer questions or just engage in conversation. Would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again. more

What a disgusting place! DON"T STAY HERE! I visited their website and was completely sucked in...it looked SO nice -- but I promise you, this place is NOTHING like what is picutured on their site. It's an absolute dump! When we arrived, after an exhausting seven hour journey down the coast, we stood at the front desk for a full... more

The allure of a beach room and the "big screen tv" brought me in, the service will keep me away. The room was right in the back near the beach but the view is mainly of the dunes and the very top of the waves depending on the tide. I was impressed by the bed and the Tv, but there... more
