We had booked a hotel in Crescent City and arrived there to find the entire city without power. The hotel couldn’t check us in and had to turn us away. The closest hotel with openings we could find online was 4 hours away. It was 8:30 pm at this time. We were with our two babies under 3 years old and were little stressed to get a place for us to sleep. We drove up the coast an hour and my husband spotted this little sign for this motel with a vacancy sign. We pulled up and called the manager. They thankfully had a vacancy. We paid a pretty penny for it but we were pleasantly surprised to find a very cozy, vintage, but nicely updated and CLEAN motel room. Roomy for our little family. It saved us that night and ended up being our favorite stay of our entire trip (10 days). Highly recommend this little motel. It was quiet, had vintage 70’s charm, and the beds were comfy. Also, if you have kids, there’s a super fun castle park just behind the motel a little bit.…

This place was a remarkable little hotel!!! Although it doesn't look like much from the outside, the room is quite comfortable and roomy. The shower was fantastic!! A walk-in with plenty of room and attractive ceramic tile, the water pressure coming out of the rain showerhead made this one of the best showers in any hotel we've experienced. The price was fantastic and the receptionist very friendly and accommodating. We would absolutely stay here again!!!

Certainly not fancy, but the price is right and the place is very quiet and comfortable. It is far enough from main street to minimize traffic noise AND the heat is electric baseboard, not those damnable heat/AC units that noisily blow cold air and cycle all night! We were impressed at how clean the room was, with no lingering cleaning solution smell. Later in our trip we paid the same for a room in Madras, OR and this deserves a much higher rating. (Unlike the Madras place, this had a mirror in the bathroom, hot water and a place to hang clothes!) The manager was extremely friendly to us, taking care of the paperwork promptly. We would stay here again without hesitation.

Central location but very quiet--can't hear traffic on Hwy 101. Clean and comfy. Fabulous shower!!! Gracious proprietor. 2-bedroom unit was perfect for our family of 3. We stayed here overnight prior to a jet boat trip to an upriver lodge, and decided to stay here again after we came back downriver.

While this is a very basic hotel, it's a cut above most of them. The exterior is charming, orderly and well-maintained, with cute planters and marked parking spaces. This is a small property--maybe 12 rooms. It doesn't have that dingy, beat-up look of many 2 or 3 star motels. It's apparent that there's been recent renovation- new toilet, sink and shower in the tiny bathroom--all very clean! Nice tile floor and a touch of tile above the sink, but not luxurious. It's functional and charming. There's a large dresser, big screen TV, fridge, microwave and Keurig coffeemaker. No lotion provided, but soap and shampoo. There's no hair dryer. Again-this is VERY comfortable and clean and pleasant without the frills. It's only a few minutes to walk or drive the the beach. About the mattress: some people will love it. It's a memory foam style. I, personally, prefer the firm mattresses of most European hotels, but I'm told that the mem/foam style is popular so.... This is a good value.…

Very dated, but well kept and clean. The bed was actually very comfortable with good quality pillows. Bathroom was also clean, but really needs to be updated. I brought my own hair dryer but was unable to use it in the bathroom as the outlet was in the light fixture and was the old 2 prong deal so wouldn't work with my modern dryer. Good value if you are passing through and not looking for someplace to hang out.

Run from this horrid place. It's cheap but not worth a dime if you care about a night's rest. No air conditioning. Open windows, yes! Harlow Street that runs thru both sides of motel is a deadend that's a hang for drinking, dope smoking carousers from the bar off to the west half block away on Hwy 101. Drunken, screaming, crazies in vehicles sped up and down Harlow as well as 101. Crazy!! Management said nothing about a bar--- it looked like a restaurant coming into the motel. Our room was minimal, and manager was off premises when we went to check out and cancel 2nd night early the next morning. Called # on window, and manager came over 15 m. later. Run from this place!!

Your are reviewing the bar next door. This is not a fair review of my place. Your husband obviously did not complain because he said he slept well.

We found this place by accident when the motel we normally stay in was full. It is just off the main street and a simple U-shaped motel, apparently built a few decades age. But the reception was friendly, the rates reasonable and the room comfortable. As a bonus it is within walking distance of the downtown. It was busy, and we could not get a room for a second night but our brief stay was enjoyable. The stay was enhanced by the fact the yard outside our back window was where the owner keeps her chickens. A nice touch.

We stopped here after a long day biking south. Good deal, all we needed, room had a refrigerator, good coffee and microwave, and close to several good eating and drinking places. We do wish they had hair dryers, though. Maybe a few to check out from the desk?

The place doesn't look much from the outside but the rooms are great, good size very clean and a comfortable bed. Don't be discourage for what you see on the recepción area or the small of food in there. The rooms are great and the bathroom is a bit small but no to bad.
