Very nice, relaxing atmosphere on a beautiful property. They have a golf course and an 18-hole putt putt course which was great for kids and adults alike. Room was cozy with a fireplace, balcony with rocking chairs, very comfortable beds. Close to the beach. Heated indoor pool, sauna and fitness room. Would definitely recommend. Restaurants were expensive. (Go to Depoe... more

I was just at Salishan with my wife for the first annual Oregon Coast Exotic Car Show and I thought it was amazing. Due to the current times I am fairly skeptical of any hotel and service levels, to my surprise Salishan has somehow managed to upgrade service. Our trip was very dependent on details and they took care of... more

First off, golf is not my thing and I was at a conference where golf and turf is very important. The sprawling grounds have some beauty, but the center is really spread out. We were awoken early in the morning by groundskeepers and were not given peace or privacy. The staff was also not very well informed or professional. more

My wife and I decided to get away for a night and go to Salishan. Overall, we could not have been happier with the resort. While my wife had stayed here before, it was my first time. When my wife was here before, she stayed in the Traditional Deluxe room, this time we picked a Deluxe Room on the south... more

I've travelled a lot in the states as well as abroad and I'm not quite sure why this hotel gets any bad reviews. I went there Valentine's weekend 2009 and had a great time. Lobby was very elegant, with lots of artwork, a wood burning fireplace, a library. There was a nice indoor pool with a big sunken hot tub... more

We stayed at the Salishan in July. The pictures on the website were deceiving, making it seem like the hotel is located on the ocean, but is actually across the street. The shops and spa are located on the ocean, but all accomodations are located across the street. The room we were in had a nice gas fireplace and comfortable... more

I took my family to Salishan for their Thanksgiving buffet and WOW it was an amazing experience. They had something for all of us to do, and the accomodations were perfect for family bonding time. more

Just got back from our second stay at Salishan over the past few months, and we just loved it! Luckily both visits were business and pleasure so the majority of the stays were expensed. However, both my husband and I agree that we would gladly come down to Salishan for a mini-getaway on our own dime. Now, I understand Salishan... more

I don't see the point of staying on the OR coast and being a drive and/or long walk from the beach. We had read that this is the ultimate OR lodge but who needs a view of a golf course? The room was comfortable and luxurious. We didn't eat at the restaurant because it was ridiculously overpriced. The front desk... more

This resort is one of my favorites and our family visits every spring, when there aren't any crowds and things are quiet in town. The rooms are always gorgeous, even the ones situated closer to the road. The golf course is lovely and not too difficult for recreational players. There are nice little coffee shops and a restaurant in the... more
