When you stay on the coast, an ocean view is a must and the Driftwood Shores does not disappoint. While the property is not new, the rooms were clean and comfortable with some updated features. The desk staff was friendly and efficient.

Being able to walk out your door and be on beautiful driftwood beach at dawn and dusk is worth almost anything. Even having the fire alarm go off around midnight because someone burnt their toast in their kitchenette. The staff was relaxed and parking plentiful. Our extended family regularly uses this hotel as overflow housing for the big family reunions... More

After booking this hotel on my trip from San Francisco to Crescent City.. I needed to reach a point to stay, as my final desitnation was Hood River, Or. I found our place to stay in Florence.. While you can stay at a lot of questionable places along the coast, I did an internet search and found this wonderful place,... More

We spent our Anniversary at the Driftwood Shores Inn. The location was perfect and the view spectacular. Outstanding amenities. They supplied everything one would need. Check out their specials deals. My husband and I would definitely return.

My husband and I booked this lodging for 2 nights. We r travelling the Oregon Coast and Florence was to be our only 2 night stop. Yes, the Ocean View and access are unmatched. Yes, the duveau bedding is too weighty for summer or menapausal women, however optional bedding is supplied. There is a nice light blanket that we used... More

Dirtys rooms. Great view. Terrible service. Rude restaurant employees. That is all I have to say. It may be a nice place, but the way I was treated and what I overheard from an employee, I will never take my family here again. Nor will I suggest this to friends.

Loved the view of the ocean and the easy access to the beach. The king room with a full kitchen, however, was just average. The office staff and restaurant staff were very courteous and helpful. The bed was a little hard and the blankets in the duvet cover were too heavy. The covered walkway across the whole front of the... More

Very average hotel; fairly clean, serviceable and not much more. It is entirely devoid of charm, save the view of the ocean. The coffe maker was broken, not discovered until the next morning. Think sub-par Best Western. They have heavy blankets in a duvet cover that are very hard to sleep under, making for a difficult night's sleep.

This well maintained older property offers basic accommodations with spectacular views of the ocean from every room. The rooms have a full sized kitchen with microwave, full sized fridge, full sized range/oven, and a dishwasher. It comes equipped with basic dish ware (wine glasses, water glasses, plates, cups, etc., all in glass rather than paper or plastic. Eating utensils, coffee... More

My three teenage children and I stayed in a three-bedroom suite (nr 231) which, while slightly angled away from the main building, provided great views over the beach and the ocean. The living area, kitchen, balcony and terrace were all very spacious. Beds were good, and Florence is a short drive away (10 to 1 mins). On the downside, when... More
