The view was awesome and the ambience was peaceful. The room was large and spacious and appointed well. Hallways, elevators and rooms were kept immaculately clean. The lobby was welcoming, as was the staff.

Check-in was completed without any flaws! The lobby area is beautiful and staff extremely friendly! I miss my million door view of the river from my spacious room and sitting on my patio! This was my second stay and Valley River is the only place I would stay at in Eugene, Or. The location is perfect, with a mall within... More

March 2014 was our second multiple day stay at the Valley River Inn in three months. The Inn is a splawiling complex of three story buildings located on the Willamette River. It's convieniently situated adjacent to the River Valley Mall with major stores and a 16 theater movie complex. On check-in, the staff was gracious and helpful, and the above... More

The Hotel was directly on the Willamette River and the setting was wonderful! The hotel was clean and the staff tried very hard to make our stay comfortable. The only hard thing was a train horn at 2am but restaurant, hotel and beauty of surroundings were spectacular! Walking/running trail to town was a great plus!

The hotel staff greeted you with a smile as soon as you walk in the door and was extremely helpful with directions. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. I would have no hesitation to stay here again and again, and stop by the bar in Sweet Waters and visit the bartender name Luces and ask him what the drink... More

The staff was super friendly and the hotel rooms were clean and comfortable. I missed having a small refrig for keeping cold water handy. We enjoyed using the outdoor patio of Sweetwaters on the river for a late afternoon sip. The banquet facilities were good and the food was pretty good for banquet food (their prime rib was excellent). We... More

This was such a gorgeous setting. There is a wonderful path right next to the rive , a restaurant with a beautiful view, and great food and drinks. It is close to most everything, including Macys and many yummy restaurants. The beds and linens were fabulous. My only wish is that they would have coffee available downstairs.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The club level room overlooking the river was very nice. Excellent service in the club room and we met some other wonderful guests. We weren't happy with the Internet service situation though and it didn't seem that management was very concerned about not having that service available. I understand that they were in the... More

I remember this place when Iived in Eugene 25 years ago. In fact Sweetwaters is still the same restaurant. The hotel rooms don't appear to have been update much (no refrigerator or microwave) and you could hear everyone walking up/down the hall as well as next door and upstairs (I was on the first floor) Again, the people were very... My husband and I stayed at The Valley River Inn to celebrate my birthday. We upgraded to the concierge option and were treated like royalty! The breakfast was superb as well as the cocktail/hors d'oeuvres...the host engaging! We look forward to returning to this lovely inn on the Willamette River!!
