This is an OK college hotel. The rooms have undergone some nice renovations but they seem like they are halfway there. The vanities and sinks are brand new but the floor tile is old and dirty. The hallways are very outdated the carpets are stained. The beds were comfortable and had a room that was right along the river, which... More

Our group had several rooms over a long weekend for a family reunion. The location is fantastic, right on the beautiful Willamette River. Some rooms have great views overlooking the river. We enjoyed walks everyday on the river trail. There is a mall, movie theater and lots of good restaurants in walking distance of the hotel. The main hotel bar... More

After our disappointment at the Inn at the Fifth we decided to stay here on our way out of town. For the same price as a standard room at the Inn we were able to get an executive suite. My God what a difference! The rooms at the Inn seemed to be a little undersized but our suite was enormous.... More

I was in town for a conference and stayed for a night. The food in Sweetwaters and atmosphere is relaxing. The front desk staff was welcoming and a nice change from the chain hotel's robotic clerks in the area. I will be back again. Thanks

I was pleasantly surprised at this "other side of town" hotel. Usually opting for a close to the freeway hotel, the Conference I was attending was at the Valley River Inn. Never having stayed on the river in Eugene, the setting is very relaxing and tranquil. The staff really cares about every detail and goes out of their way to... More

I was in Eugene on business. I have used various sites for locating rooms and happened to get the Valley River Inn about a year ago. Now I find myself hoping I get the Valley River Inn. The front desk and common area is very warm and friendly. Sweetwaters is a very nice and comfortable restaurant to be able to... More

Came here on a whim and was blown away by the natural beauty and setting. We live in town but decided to enjoy a "stay cation" and we were not disappointed. Had a great dinner in the restaurant attached (sweet waters) and had great drinks from the knowledgable bartender, Lucious, as well as a great dinner served by Melissa. The... More

Are you ready for the truth? Reeks of the 20th Century. Multiple buildings not connected so a test of your hiking and map reading skills. Lucky if you find parking spot near your room. Leave a trail of breadcrumbs back to your car because once inside you enter the maze. One wrong turn and you could be wandering the hallways... More

My husband and I stayed here last night for the date night special: king size bed, $75 dinner credit, movie tickets, and breakfast. Room was very dated. We thought they'd forgotten the comforter, coverlet looked like a sheet and had blood stain! Sheet itself had a hole. Alarm clock went off at 6:30 am at a maximum volume (when I... More

We appreciate you taking the time to share about your recent stay with us. First, please accept my apologies that your experience was not what we strive for. The condition and deficiencies you noted about your guest room are absolutely unacceptable and definitely not up to our standards. I have met with the director of housekeeping, and he shared your...
