I couldn't tell if this hotel was a poorly remodeled Motel 6 or a tired old Red Lion waiting for the wrecking ball. No complaints about the room itself other than we could hear every noise around us. The spa needed a good cleaning, and the courtyard had all the charm of a communist-era tenement. Definitely not worth the $130... more

The outside of the Hotel is in serious need of an upgrade and paint job. WEll bascially the inside of the rooms are nice and must have been remodeled but the outside almost scares you away on how old it looks. The Rooms were nicely appointed, the only complaint is we had a glass cup that had a chip in... more

I was booked into the Red Lion for a business meeting. From the outside it looks like a refurbished Motel 6 and unfortunately it smells like one as well. This is not a hotel. It is an old roadside motel on a busy highway. It is not easily accessible by foot to the main city of Eugene. All rooms open... more

Priceline really got me on this one! I cannot BELIEVE this was listed as a 3-star hotel. I thought the other reviewers might have been exaggerating when they said it was like a Motel 6, but it came complete with a fluorescent sign outside reading "Happy Birthday Laurene!" The parking lot was so dark and creepy that I actually felt... more

My husband stayed here 35 years ago and apparently nothing has changed - or been updated. Front desk staff tried to charge us an additional $20/night for a room with 2 queens instead of a King - I had booked the room through Hotwire for 3 people and tried to make them understand that one bed simply wasn't going to... more

I stayed two nights at the Red Lion in Eugene in late June during the Olympic Trials. I had stayed the previous two nights at the Holiday Inn Express on Franklin which was substantially better, newer and cost much less. I found it depressing to make the move to the Red Lion which seemed tired and drab. The Holiday Inn... more

Stayed a few nights here during the Olympic Trials. Location was really good - very close to Autzen Stadium, where we caught the shuttle to the meet. And, close enough to downtown that we could walk into town for dinner. Pleasant walk through the park next to the river. Location across the street from the shopping mall was nice, too.... more

Our family of 3 stayed at the Eugene Red Lion last weekend on a Hotwire rate of $84 a night. We felt this was a good deal for this rate. The room was clean and comfortable and recently remodeled. We stayed in room 221 upstairs on the courtyard. The exterior of this motel is not up to the usual Red... more

I stayed here after my eye surgery at a discount rate and was very impressed with the entire experience. The bed was very comfortable with plenty of soft pillows, the bathroom was clean and modern with large fluffy towels and the shower was very nice with organic soap and good quality shampoo, conditioner and lotion. There was a fridge, microwave... more

In Eugene? Need a room? This will do, but do not expect much. Absolutely nothing special, but okay sized, clean room. When I stayed they were in the process or re-carpeting the rooms, so maybe that will help. But it is basically a large parking lot with a two story motel, and you know what to expect. more
