My husband and I visited Eugene for a speech at the university, The inn is perfectly situated next to the beautiful campus and the buzz of student activity. Our room overlooked the front garden, with its outdoor restaurant seating. The room was very comfortable, quiet and cozy, the staff extremely helpful. We enjoyed an excellent authentic Italian dinner in the... More

This isn’t a bed and breakfast- it’s a hotel that includes a breakfast voucher with the room rate. For me, the pleasure of a B&B is checking out the house, visiting with the host, sitting in a common room with books or puzzles, visiting with guests over breakfast, etc. The Excelsior Inn doesn’t feel like that. There is no common... More

The Excelsior is a few steps from one of the most beautiful colleges in the US. It is a converted sorority house with 24 rooms. Our room, one of the middle priced ones was a tad small but very well appointed. We had some issues with the phone and the ice maker but once we got the hang of it...things... More

We were very impressed and pleased with our experience at the Excelsior. The service was excellent, everything was very clean, our room was small but charming, and the breakfast was unbelievable! Thanks so much.

From the moment Matt met us and helped us park and get to our room (the Vivaldi) we were treated to a very sweet boutique experience...when we went downstairs for drinks on the patio...Matt was our evening waitperson...suggesting drinks and apps for myself, girlfriend and a couple who came to meet us there....from there we went inside for dinner and... Stopped here for one night on a 12 day road trip. This place was very nice. The dinner was great! Had filet that was very reasonably priced. Matt was our bartender and server. He made the dinner fun and was very patient with us as the four of us drank too much, ate too much, told way too many stories,... More

Stayed at the Excelsior on the last night of a hike/bike/wine tour and enjoyed the stay. The room was lovely and well appointed with a completely renovated bathroom, awesome Jacuzzi tub. Our group had a great dinner at the B&B's restaurant that evening where they served us our wines with some great food - the charcuterie platter was a standout.

My husband and I happened upon this inn by coincidence, and it was one of the best parts of our long weekend trip. The front desk (innkeeper) was very helpful and showed us up to our gorgeous rooms (we stayed overall two nights, one on Friday and on on Sunday). The breakfast was amazing, and the story behind it all... More

We were in town for a concert on the U of O campus and were happy to discover this cute spot walking distance to campus, shops and food! Quaint, spotless rooms, great staff, a cute bar and a restaurant with lovely garden seating. The only complaint was that our dinner took a very long time to appear, and it just... More

The Excelsior is advertised as an inn, but in reality is more like a small hotel. There was no coffee service in the room, but when asked they provided one. The inn is a little difficult to locate. Even though it faces the street, you have to access it via a narrow alley. Parking is very limited. They offer free... More
