My husband and I happened upon this inn by coincidence, and it was one of the best parts of our long weekend trip. The front desk (innkeeper) was very helpful and showed us up to our gorgeous rooms (we stayed overall two nights, one on Friday and on on Sunday). The breakfast was amazing, and the story behind it all... More

We were in town for a concert on the U of O campus and were happy to discover this cute spot walking distance to campus, shops and food! Quaint, spotless rooms, great staff, a cute bar and a restaurant with lovely garden seating. The only complaint was that our dinner took a very long time to appear, and it just... More

The Excelsior is advertised as an inn, but in reality is more like a small hotel. There was no coffee service in the room, but when asked they provided one. The inn is a little difficult to locate. Even though it faces the street, you have to access it via a narrow alley. Parking is very limited. They offer free... More

We went to Eugene for a concert and wanted to have a romantic get away. Excelsior was the perfect choice. We stayed in the Tchaikovsky suite which was large, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The bed was firm but not too hard. The bathroom was large with a huge tub. Breakfast was outstanding. They have the best whole wheat toast I've... More

Very comfortable, the staff was witty and very helpful. Location was great to walk to the river, and tour the campus. Breakfast was included and made to order. The restaurant menu looked expensive for cash paying, having it included was key.

This is a lovely bed and breakfast for those who are traveling light. We were on the road for two weeks and had quite a bit of "stuff" with us. Our room was way too small. We also wished that the Excelsior had a lounge where we could just sit and relax, read a book, etc. The staff was very... More

I stayed one night for business, but loved the room and the service at the Excelsior. The staff was very friendly. Parking was very crowded, so the staff suggested I double park but leave the keys to my rental. I did so and they took care of everything. What a great location near campus! I had lunch in the restaurant... More

We were very pleasantly surprised when we found this little gem. On most other visits to UO, we have stayed at some of the chain hotels on Franklin. This was a charming hotel with nicely decorated room. It is conveniently located near many of the sorority houses, making it quite easy to help my daughter move out. I found the... More

A little bit pricey but worth it. Room was nice and then comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Who can resist SMOKED SALMOM EEGGS BEBEDICT? Only detractor is they don't have coffee on weekdays because the restraunt opens at seven.

My daughter and I stayed while visiting the University of Oregon. From the minute we checked in until the time we left was just perfect. The location was just a block or two from campus but felt private and secluded. The staff was wonderful, as was the room. Very clean, comfortable and with everything we needed. Highly recommend dinner at... More
