Made a reservation on Orbitz and called the motel directly(BIG MISTAKE) to change the reservation for two days later. I was told that it was no problem but when I showed up, they had no rooms and charged my credit card any way. NOT TO BE TRUSTED! STill fighting with my credit card company. Stay away, many more honest motel... more

I stayed at this hotel during the local festival Eugene Celebration and couldn't have been more satisfied! Walking distance to Eugene's downtown and a quick bus ride away to any where you might want to go to enjoy Eugene! It looks very modest from the outside but is kept very clean! The owners of the property are very personable and... more

I have to agree with other travelers who like the Downtown Motel for its clean, no-frills, budget rate rooms. I liked that it had that old-timey roadside motel feel to it, yet was newly refurbished, painted, clean and comfortable. It's within walking distance of several restaurants if the simple continental breakfast isn't enough for you. Friendly staff and great rates.... more

Basic no frills motel. I did get my requested two queen room. Free wi fi. Right downtown walk to anywhere. If you just need a nice clean place to stay, this is it. So, clean, comfortable, spacious room and well located if you want to be downtown. more

Stayed here enroute from BC to San Diego based on TripAdvisor reviews and price. It was OK and the price reflected its value. Good beds, clean unit in a quiet, decent location is what we wanted and that's what we got. Think of a no-frills motel complex from the 60's but nicely updated. The clerk was helpful and our expectations... more

I'll be honest, this place is kind of a dive but the price is good. The location is very certral to UofO and the rest of Eugene, but you pretty much get what you pay for in terms of the room and everything else -- not that it's all bad. The room I had was relatively quiet and comfortable and... more

This IS one of the older motels in town but the owners are constantly upgrading the rooms to keep them comfortable. New beds and bathroom fixtures this year are good examples. Walking distance to some GREAT restaurants and the funky west eugene neighborhoods. Just 1 block from the always eclectic live music at the WOW Hall and 2 blocks from... more

I have been coming out to Eugene from the Midwest about once every other month for the past two years while I have been building a home in the Eugene area. After trying several other motels in the area, I have settled on the Downtown Motel for all of my stays. The couple that runs the place knows me now... more

My wife and I had a weekend in Eugene to attend a wedding. My family stayed at the Valley River Inn, a much more expensive hotel with not much more value. Downtown motel is very, very, very basic. Location is great, very close to some excellent food and late night drinking scenes. My only caution is that this IS an... more

This motel's accommodations are not what is represented. My reservation was for two queen bed rooms; when we arrived, we were placed in one two bed room that had double beds. The second room had one double bed. When we complained, the manager looked at us with a blank stare and told us there were no other rooms available. We... more
