Went there after being delayed on business around Salem. Decided to drive to the coast for a night. It is a nice place, great views and sounds of the surf! No sunset that night because of clouds but still enjoyable. Had a lingering dinner in an unrushed atmosphere overlooking Depoe Bay. Good price for oceanfront property. Only thing to be... More

I spent four nights here on a quilting retreat. Room (actually a suite, with two rooms and a kitchenette) was spacious and comfortable with wonderful ocean views. HOWEVER, in the four nights we were there, our room was never cleaned before 3 pm (one night we had to call them at 5 to request servicing!) and what cleaning WAS done... More

It was unfortunate that you were not happy with our service, we apologized for having 3 of our Hotel staff out with the Flu and we had Managers out helping to clean rooms, again our sincerest apologies for not providing the excellent service expected from our guest. This was not a typical week nor did we porously avoid cleaning your... More

This is an older property that has recently changed hands, so be prepared to ask some questions. One access to the beach is closed, but if you ask there is a trail by the restaurant. The restaurant is fair, but ask if you are getting your steak as ours were switched with some unhappy results. Ask if you can see... More

It's nice to have a room and a restaurant on the same property. The restaurant has a great view of Fogarty Creek Park and the surf. Equally good food. Both the restaurant and the hotel are older properties but remodeled and nicely furnished. Good view from our room and access to stairs down to the beach from our room.

The staff was very friendly upon check in and the room was just what we were looking for, great view of the ocean. You enter your room from the parking lot side of the building but once in your room there is a back door leads to the ocean side with great views! The room has a cozy fireplace, the... More

The room was nice and large with a balcony, kitchenette, and fireplace. The balcony is shared with the room next to you and there is only one door for both rooms to go onto the deck. Little weird and uncomfortable, but the view is great. The room seemed clean, but if you look under stuff or a little closer to... More

This is a medium level motel with two floors and exterior hallways. We had the 2 bed/ 2 bath suite which was great for our family of 4 with teenagers. The rooms were superficially cleaned but pretty gross on close examination (window sills, under beds). The rooms were pretty run down, with obvious mildew in the bathrooms. There was a... More

We've been staying here for the last 10 years and we've decided to find somewhere else to stay in the Depoe Bay/Newport area. The Wi-Fi either is nonexistent, slow or intermittent which drove us nuts. Nowadays we depend upon our Tablets to make dining and activity decisions. Our room was a mix of updated furniture and bedding, but a 90's... More

We have stayed at the Surfrider Hotel many times in the past. We have noticed that the quality and experience has been steadily going down hill. The rooms are falling apart. The linens are old and tattered. And the coffee cups and coffee service and glasses are dirty. We rented three rooms and had three couples, each couple experienced a... More

Rooms have been updated. Great Location. Great stay. Wish the stairs were still accessible. No complaints! Plenty of parking. Free WiFi, rooms come with mini fridge and microwave. Sink was nice. Last time we stayed in a 2 bedroom, perfect as it came with 2 bathrooms too! Love the walk out screen door. Just make sure to put the bar... More
