What else can I say that hasn't already been said? The place was wonderful!!! If the location had not been so far from Bend, I would have based my entire visit to Bend around this charming motel. I am not a hunter or fisherman, but I absolutedly loved the decor. Everything, and I mean everything, had an outdoorsman theme, right... more

We almost missed this place at the end of a 35 day road trip, but found it in a snowstorm! What a find! Clean, friendly and decorated to the max in it's outdoor, woodsman theme. The lamps even had antlers! Some rooms have fireplaces, too. It's located near Crater Lake and there is an interesting restaurant next door. The service... more

Nice rooms but lousy service. Doug saw me smoking outside and decided I must have been also smoking in the room. He dinged my credit card for $200 a week later! Doug is unhappy and suspicious. Skip this place and go on to LaPine! more

This is a clean and comfortable lodge. Not your standard Econolodge. This place has some character if you don't mind a bit of kitch. We had a good stay even though there was a lot of truck traffic on the nearby highway and the mosquitoes were out big time. Bring repellent. The owners had a few cans for use at... more

This is the cutest place I have ever stayed at. The decor is country. It looks like you are staying in a Cabella's. Friendly staff. The price is right. more

This place is a destination in itself. The rooms are immaculate, clean beds, thick linens, gracious hosts. But the decor sets it apart from every other place I've stayed. The rooms are not only functional/comforatble, but everything - EVERYTHING - has a woodsman theme. So what if we're not a woodsmen or hunters, this place was great. The casual restaurant... more

We stayed here as part of our visit to Crater Lake. After driving past several other motels, I started to get nervous about what this place would be like. Fear not! Yes, it's a hunting lodge, but one decorated by a woman (I'm sure of it!). Everything (everything) is hunting related; I'm a vegetarian, and was not offended, so take... more

I stayed there last week for one night. The room was very clean and well equipped with wi-fi, fridge, micro, and nice little extras like paper towels and salt/pepper. As noted by a previous poster, the room was decorated to the max with bears, wolves, elk, etc. including a translucent toilet seat embedded with colorful fishing lures. Unlike the earlier... more

There was a family emergency so my sister and I needed a place to stay, we called ahead of time to book a room. It turns out that the owner will not rent rooms to people under 21, when in fact it says nothing about this in the web site. The woman was rude to me, even hanging up on... more

The Good - The owner is wonderful! She is so friendly & helpful. I came into town with a sinus infection & she gave my aunt directions to get to the nearest pharmacy (17 miles north in La Pine). She also asked the next morning how I was doing & gave her information about an immediate care center & hospital... more
