When you drive to your room, it looks like a deserted movie set, it is so run down! We did the spring package which gave a dinner credit and an continental breakfast, breakfast was not too bad, but the room we had, pet friendly, left much to be desired. I realize it is a pet room but was horrified to... More

Hi Calequestrian13, Thank you for visiting - we are so glad to hear you enjoyed the gardens. The Village Green is a historic hotel and we are in the midst of remodeling. You may have noticed the look and feel of our main lobby - that same ambiance has been incorporated into our updated rooms, which we call deluxe rooms.... More

This spacious resort was constructed about 50 years ago by a local timber baron. It may have been too large a project for that time, but the southern end of the Willamette Valley has become much more interesting to out-of-town visitors. There are now festivals, wineries, forests, historic sites, and more interesting place to eat. Moonstone Resorts has assumed control... More

Great location. The grounds are extensive - To get thier full effect you should go during the summer. The restuarant was excellent. The free meals included in our package was really very good - prime rib and corn beef and cabbabe ( it was St Patric's Day). The free bottle of wine was very good - Baringers White Zinvendel. The... we stayed here for 2 nights and really enjoyed it. my husband had stayed here often back in the 1960's (!) and wanted to visit again. although the suite we were in needs updating, we enjoyed all the space that you don't get in modern motels and it was a trip using the all-pink bathroom - toilet, tub, tile, sink,... I'm told that Village Green, in its day, was THE place to go. I like it very much. We got a renovated room: fresh carpet, bed, linens, lamps. There is a restaurant and bar. Generous pours at the bar. Our party, in town for a funeral and wake, was loud, in the breakfast room. It was a family reunion, you... More

We had a weekend special at this "resort". The word "resort" might be a bit misleading, but we had a fireplace room that was very nice. If you have ever stayed at The Oregon Gardens, the room was nearly identical and you will know what I mean. It had a nice deck and we were actually there on a sunny... More

Judging by some of the reviews I see about this hotel they must be renting rooms in some of the non-renovated buildings. We got a very nice room and were quite pleased with it. Granted, it was in the nicer looking building. They use the fireplace for heating which is nice though slow to heat the room. The old outdated... More

HOW DARE YOU call this a resort. I booked a Valentine's Day package, which includes "champagne" and chocolate covered strawberries. The "champagne" was a room temperature $5 bottle of cook's, which was super disappointing. The room is out-dated and drab, mattress old and creaky and the place is less nice than the last motel 6 I crashed in while on... More

Hi Jedediah, Thank you for staying with us and taking the time to share your experience. We do have a new horticulture team - and with the great spring weather, the gardens are in bloom and look amazing. We're sure you'd be quite impressed with our 14 acres this time of year. We are sorry to hear that you were... More

A sweet place to stop on the I-5 at Cottage Grove! Rooms are fine, clean, and a bit older but well kept! The lounge, and dining room are great and the food is wonderful! We stop here whenever we're travelling the I-5!

When Miranda Lambert foiled our plans to stay in Eugene, we ended up in sleepy cottage Grove (although we checked "Walk down Main Street and assume you are in Animal House parade" off our bucket list). While we didn't expect four star hotels here, the $150/night charge led us to expect more than a moldy bathroom and a room that... More

Hi Amber, We are so sorry about your room. We will follow up with our housekeeping and maintenance departments to remedy this issue. We are also in the midst of remodeling. Our deluxe rooms match the ambiance of the main lobby and each includes a fireplace. We are working to bring that same charm to each of our standard rooms,... More
