My husband and I stayed at the Plainview as we drove down the Oregon Coast; it's an older motel that the new managers are renovating room by room. Contrary to what's linked to the site, I could never find the exterior photo, and I wonder if it's another place entirely. The Plainview is largely one-story, and most of its facades... More

Let me just start by saying the man at the front desk was very, very nice, I got the impression that this was his place. That being said, it was an experience ill never forget, one of those vacation stories you tell everyone when you get back, but you truly would only understand if you were there. We live in... More

I'm not one for giving low reviews, but this place is... Well, not the greatest. We're traveling along Highway 101 and this place was way off the road. The building is old, so the insides are very outdated. The walls are super thin (my neighbor and I had a conversation through the wall). There were some issues with the outlets... More

Indeed, Jesse and Alicia are two of the kindest and caring people that we have met, let alone managing a motel with countless guests coming and going. On first impression when driving up to this address, one questions his/her choice of these accommodations, probably built in the sixties or seventies. But as soon as you meet Jesse and Alicia, your... More

Alicia and Jesse, the managers were the best. They went above what any manager should. They took us clamming and crabbing (needed a refresher). I have never made friends with the manager of any business. they were great. The motel is in a quaint little nested area. The residents of the RV park were all polite and respectable to the... More

We were winging it down the coast and happened upon this gem. We originally looked at the hotel but ended up at the vacation rental at the advice of the super helpful manager. We were also drawn in by the free crabbing gear and spent a wonderful afternoon crabbing off the nearby docks. Took in the Shore Acres lights for... More

I had such a great time here with my family. We went golfing and fishing. The management was so nice and the room was really clean. I think some of the review on this site might be old. It was a really nice place to say. I think we might come back up next year.

Stayed a weekend here and had an awesome time with very friendly people. not many choices near the Charleston area to choose from but very thankful we chose this one. buildings are older, but service was absolutely great. Will be back here in near future.

It surprises me to read the negatives about this motel. The writers must be the types who demand a chocolate chip on their pillow every night, a swimming pool, a tiny bowl of cereal and a day old doughnut for their free breakfast. Granted the motel is old, but is superbly remodeled. The rooms are large, clean and quiet. Granted,... More

I booked the cabin online in November 2011 for our week vacation in July 2012. Called to verify accomodations 2 weeks prior to leaving. All was confirmed as was booked. Got to Coos Bay after a 2 day trip and many hours on the road. Was told by the manager that we were booked the next day and on. He... More
