-The service at this location was awesome , we ended up having to stay over Thanksgiving day and the staff was still very accommodating. - The rooms and establishment are stylish and comfy. It was a great price for what you get. -Overall my experience at this hotel was excellent and I would recommend to anyone staying out in this... More

An absolute gem in a small town in the middle of Eastern Oregon. This restored hotel is quaint, historic and immaculate. The only criticism is the lack of an onsite restaurant, not surprising given its remote location.

We came to the Hotel Condon for our anniversary. Absolutely fabulous inside. I loved the sitting area outside our room. Perfect to read by the fire. 4pm cheese and wine are presented in the lobby. Staff were friendly and on top of whatever you need. I must say I'm going to be hard pressed to find another hotel with such... More

This hotel offers a unique experience of enjoying the elegance of the fabulous 20's. All of the rooms and common spaces have been decorated in authentic decor. The rooms and beds are very comfortable. There is a mezzanine parlor area that is great for relaxing or reading by the fireplace. The highlight of the stay was a visit with Rob,... More

Situated in the John Day Fossil Beds the Painted Hills may be America's best kept natural wonder secret. Other sections of this National Monument are worth seeing-the Painted Hills are the highlight. Getting there is about a two hour drive from Portland. The Fossil Beds are truly in the middle of nowhere...that is where the Condon Hotel enters the picture.... More

My father stayed at the Hotel in 1934-35 for 50 cents a room. The rates have not held but the Hotel is a wonderful treat. Condon is close to the Columbia River and Cottonwood Canyon State Park. It is not far from John Day Fossil Beds at Clarno.

This is a lovely hotel. The renovation has been tastefully done throughout. The rooms are spacious, well appointed and seem very period correct. The front desk staff was professional and very helpful. We would most definitely stay here again.

I enjoyed my stay and found the property to be generally in very good shape, but because I found the room prices to be a bit on the high end I’m going to nitpick. The bathroom in my room needed some attention. The shower stall could do with a deep cleaning (the tub was out of service). There was no... More

After traveling through a number of ersatz "western" style towns with their false fronts, Condon was an unexpected treat, real historic building, many lovingly restored. Don't need to repeat the many positives already written about the Hotel Condon, just endorse the positive comments, warm, unique, comfortable, beautiful, a pleasure to stay in. Espresso and a mini-Powells bookstore across the street.... More

Our first stay at Hotel Condon. We have seen it remodeled over the years and were impressed with the room, amenities, and service. A fun small town to visit and Hotel Condon is close to everything. We also used our Hotel Condon privileges to eat at the Elks Club and had a great meal surrounded by community minded locals. A... More
