My stay was very pleasant. The front desk people were friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and fresh. The bathroom was very clean with attention given to my comfort. This is an older Hampton Inn. It is OK if your expectations are not too high. Staff was very nice. Breakfast was typical... breads, cereals, fruit. Our room was clean and fairly new, but even though we were on a non-smoking floor, the halls had a very slight smell of humid smoke. No odors in the room. The location is borderline... but overall, we'd stay there again if passing through. more

Up-conversion continues room-by-room. 1 smoking floor, rest not. Getting near Hilton Garden Inn standards for much less $. The air conditioning was changed to new in my room while out , fixing the condition others have found. The hotel is off the freeway and accessible to Portland by 20 minute drive. But when we got back to the hotel in the early evening, we found the experience enjoyable. We read the earlier reviews and requested a room away from the freeway. Our request was honored. The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. It was inexpensive to begin with, made even more so with an AARP discount. Check-in staff was particularly welcoming and helpful, and breakfast was adequate.
