I was in my way to crater lake for camping from Seattle. We planned in getting there around 8 but due to Seattle and Portland traffic we didn't arrive until 1130. The lady who runs the inn called me in advance to let me know that the office would be locked and to give her a ring when I get... More

Your GPS may show this as the Feather Bed Inn as ours did and you can still make out the old name on the sign. The staff were very friendly and the room was clean but very dated. Coral coloured bath fixtures and the like. It's located at the south end of town and the area is very quiet, except... More

This is a scary place. Unsavory characters hanging out by office. Red ants marching all around the outside of our room. Dirty glass on the microwave when we got into the room. We were afraid to disturb the bedding for fear of what might scurry away. The bathroom was a dark, scary hole. We left the key on the table... More

My husband and I felt fortunate to find this room. Dated, yes, but comfy and cozy and definitely a great price. The owners were gracious on the phone as well as in person. They 'upgraded' us to a larger room, no extra charge. Enjoyed the Chemult Sled Dog Races and snowshoeing at Crater Lake.

My family stayed here one night and it was one too many. The place was not just dated, it was ramshackle. The windows wouldn't lock. We had two rooms and the door on one had a very loose strike plate and the door would jiggle back and forth. It was clear this door had been previously jimmied. One of the... More

We booked 2 rooms in this inn (now called Crater Lake Inn) based on the owner's description of the rooms as "newly renovated." When we arrived, one of our rooms appeared to have been freshly smoked in.....a lot. The beds were something out of a 1960s parody, and the smell of mildew was rampant. When we informed the owners that... More

My husband and I took a month and traveled through 8 states. Of all the places we stayed, Crater Lake Inn was our favorite. Our room was reasonable and very clean and comfortable. Bob and Barb were the best, offering old fasion hospitality that just can't be found anymore. We stayed 2 nights and they grilled hamburgers and all the... More

New owners who are making some nice improvements to the hotel - now named the Crater Lake Inn. We actually stayed here 2 years ago and appreciate the new paint job & carpet, cleaner rooms, and welcoming hosts. They gave us a nice home-cooked breakfast to boot. The comfort of the beds are hit-or-miss, but we'd stay here again for... More
