The proprietress, Colleen, and her extended family of Dawson House Lodge, supplied us with all we could have imagined possible, and more. The family was helpful, gentle, and smart. They helped make our trip to Crater Lake National Park wonderful and unforgettable.. No traveler's problem was beyond their capability. The family grocery next door helped stock our cooler with nutritious... More

Even though it is an old house (almost 100 years old), it does not smell like an old house. Very neat, and clean, with a rustic stile bedroom/bathroom. An apple cider that an owner has offered us was delicious. Overall it is a very cozy place.

We stayed in the loft room overnight on a trip to Crater Lake. The room is spacious with AC and a full kitchen. The decor is a bit unusual in places, but the room was clean and the owners friendly. Great proximity to Crater Lake.

Found this hotel as a cheap alternative to staying closer to Crater Lake. The staff was friendly and we got a great deal. Cozy office lounge with free coffee and hot cocoa. DVDs to watch as well. The rooms were small but clean and the bed was comfortable. The only complaint I have is that its right on rt 97,... More

We stayed at Dawson House Lodge on our way to Crater Lake. We were able to drop off our luggage earlier than the check in time, which was really nice. The woman that checked us in gave us a brief run down of the room and was very nice and friendly. We felt welcomed to make any needs known. The... More

I'll have to add to the rave reviews here. It's old, it's interesting because it's old, creaky, and solid at the same time. My only gripe at all is that Room 1 is a bit near the road and a touch noisy, so if you are sensitive, ask for some other room. Me? I sleep like a rock, no problem.... More

Don't let the look of the place take you off guard. It is a old building but with character. The room was nice and clean. Had two beds and a good bathroom. We were on our way to Crater Lake, well this is the place to stay for the night. Everything you would need for one night is here. It... More

I stayed in room #2 and did not experience the "sour aroma" that many other reviewers noted. The motel is a mix of new and shabby furnishings. New: curtains, carpet, mirror, and decor pillows. Shabby: tile counter, brass light fixtures, bed pillows. No A/C, but the fans were plenty adequate in September. Fridge and DVD player in the room. One... More

The welcome was kind and efficient. The lady took us to the room to ensure that Things were OK.. Did your grandparents ever have a guest room? Then it might have looked like the one we had in Dawson House Lodge. Funny old furniture and quaint pictures on all the walls. Not very big and not that comfortable, but a... More

We stayed one night in the Rose Room on the way to Crater Lake National Park. There's not much choice in lodging or food in this area and most of the time the lodge in the park is booked up and also very expensive. Our stay was okay, a large room with jacuzzi tub. The owner was very nice.
