This is a lovely, old school motel. The proprietors are friendly and helpful and keep the grounds immaculate. In the evening I thought an unexpected rain storm had come up, but looked out the window to discover that drip lines were watering the plethora of beautiful flower baskets that decorate the entire complex. That was about the only noise I... More

While planning a visit to the Columbia River gorge, I made reservations for my husband, daughter , son-in-law and me, but after reading some of the reviews, I began to reconsider my choice. After finding no available rooms in the other local motel, I gave my family the warning of what might be coming. What a pleasant surprise to find... More

We needed a place for one night. Roger was so accommodating. The kids loved our little cabin and the plethora of honor system movies Roger provides. Highly recommend. We will return for a longer stay.

We arrived at the motel at eight in the evening on July 12 to learn there are no vacancies and that the room we reserved two months in advanced and secured through a credit card was given to someone else. The proprietor was extremely rude, shouted at us and made no effort in helping us securing an alternative location.

I have stayed in low budget hotels but this one was so bad we, after paying for a night, went back to Hood River and slept on our friends' couch. It smelled nasty both inside and out. On a busy road. A few hundred feet from a busy train track. Very small room. If I could give it minus stars... More

I have stayed in RV parks all over the West and this was the worst one we have ever been to. Yes, the lady working the desk was nice, but I did think it was strange she would not take our reservation over the phone. She said they had two spots open and I asked to leave my name so... More

Roger, the owner was so helpful----after another hotel in the area lost my reservation, Roger was able to get me a room at the last second. We needed 3 beds and at first we only had 2 beds--but after we arrived, he was able to get us into a cabin with 3 beds for our first night and then into... More

Rooms are clean and the price is right. Beds are comfortable, little kitchenette and a fridge give you everything you need in this part of town. Rooms have windows on both sides which gives you a great breeze through the room.

I had called ahead about availability in the off-season. The receptionist said there should be no problem with finding a vacancy. I showed up on a Thursday night and they set me up in no-smoking room # 1. Nicely laid out room with a kitchenette, it was clean, bed was comfortable, and the bathroom fan provided enough white noise to... More
