I would definitely stay here. The hosts, Susan and Bruce are wonderful. Helpful and friendly. The accommodations are somewhat simple, especially in the carriage house, yet you are outdoors and not in your room most of the time, so that is o.k. Others have mentioned the sweet dogs, who are indeed, impressive. My only ask is that they not come... more

Susan and Bruce are ultimate hosts. Bruce helped me organize our 4-day trip into the Willamette Valley by email before we arrived. He sent restaurant and excursion ideas, then helped us make reservations for our stay. There was a Vista Balloon flight one early morning, a day of winery tasting by chauffered limo, a trip to the Evergreen Aviation Museum... more

My husband and I spent 3 wonderful nights at the Brookside Inn. Bruce and Susan are wonderful hosts. Bruce says he is not a chef, but he very well could be. Our breakfasts were fantastic. He makes homemade scones every morning- we were able to try marionberry, blueberry and peach. All of his breakfasts were appetizing and filling. The grounds... more

This was our first trip to the Willamette Valley and we had a great experience at the Brookside Inn. The innkeepers, Bruce and Susan, were extremely friendly and helpful, making last-minute dinner reservations and recommending fantastic wineries to visit. They served a gourmet three-course breakfast to-order every morning, complete with homemade granola, fresh-baked scones, a daily entree, and yummy coffee... more

After losing our luggage at PDX, we were desperately in need of a "vacation intervention" and Brookside Inn was all that and more. Located in the back roads of the wine country (yet minutes to great restaurants), Brookside offers 22 acres of nature, running water, ponds, wooded paths and brilliant colored gardens. The first morning we walked into breakfast in... more

We spent 3 great nights of our week in Oregan at the Brookside. It was the perfect stress reliever. Brookside is not the gaudy antique style B&B. It feels like an Inn or lodge and therefore much more enjoyable for my husband and I, with normal furnishings, luxury hotel bedding (we slept great), private baths, and very clean. We had... more

It was a beautiful, serene honeymoon destination. The surroundings were so quiet and peaceful, not to mention, right out of a storybook. Bruce and Susan made the stay warm and inviting, and gave us great tips on the area and where to go for the best restuarants. Every morning, they cooked a wonderful homemade breakfast for us with fresh, hot... more

The proprietors, Bruce and Susan Bandstra, work hard to make sure their guests have a wonderful experience. The communication with our room reservation, restaurant arrangements for us, the beauttiful setting and absolutely first class accommodations.. did I mention Bruce's cooking! It was more than we expected. We are now convinced customer service is not all lost...THANK YOU for a wonderful... more

My husband and I have just retired after spending the last three years in India. We chose to retire in the general area of my childhood (Seattle area) after living on the East Coast for all of our married lives. One of the primary reasons was our love of wine and our desire to discover the Pinot Noirs of Oregon... more

The Brookside Inn is great place to stay for those interested in touring the Oregon wine country. Nice rooms, a great breakfast, and fabulous hosts in Bruce and Susan. You arrive as a guest and leave as warm friends. They will go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable, fun, and a trip you will long remember. more
