Don't expect the Brookside Inn to be a vineyard, however the property is stunning. Our hosts were gracious and breakfast was marvelous. The scones are mouth watering delicious. The common room was nicely done and well appointed which helped to compensate for our small, modest room. There was no late afternoon wine offering and although it was a cold night,... more

We have travelled to the Oregon wine country many times, each time in the past we stayed in Portland. Never again. The Brookside Inn and Bruce and Susan were fantastic - we will highly recommend Brookside to anyone traveling to the area. It was very relaxing to unwind in their quiet Inn. Set in the heart of wine country, it... more

We just finished our second stay with Bruce and Susan and were even happier this time around. Two years ago we arrived when they had been open for only about 10 days. It was wonderful then -- and even better now. They have made many upgrades and as usual, the breakfasts were just sensational. Fresh chanterelles showed up while we... more

I've been a long time user of Trip Advisor and only felt compelled to post for the first time after a three night stay with Bruce and Susan at the Brookside Inn this July. SImply put, our stay was ideal. The location was perfect for exploring wine country. And when we return to the Willamette I will head straight back... more

My spouse, myself and another couple stayed for three nights at the Brookside Inn - we would RETURN THERE AGAIN AND AGAIN..Bruce and Susan are absolutely the loveliest hosts. Breakfast here is absolutely amazing...eggs with truffles, homemade scones..it was amazing. Their knowledge of the area is extensive...they know all the wineries and gave us excellent hints on our winemaking adventures.... more

Bruce and Susan are extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. They do a great job of attending to you while still giving you plenty of privacy. The property is beautiful and gigantic with plenty of space to walk around and explore, or find a quiet area with no distractions. The breakfast is better than advertised - only local ingredients and very... more

I would definitely stay here. The hosts, Susan and Bruce are wonderful. Helpful and friendly. The accommodations are somewhat simple, especially in the carriage house, yet you are outdoors and not in your room most of the time, so that is o.k. Others have mentioned the sweet dogs, who are indeed, impressive. My only ask is that they not come... more

Susan and Bruce are ultimate hosts. Bruce helped me organize our 4-day trip into the Willamette Valley by email before we arrived. He sent restaurant and excursion ideas, then helped us make reservations for our stay. There was a Vista Balloon flight one early morning, a day of winery tasting by chauffered limo, a trip to the Evergreen Aviation Museum... more

My husband and I spent 3 wonderful nights at the Brookside Inn. Bruce and Susan are wonderful hosts. Bruce says he is not a chef, but he very well could be. Our breakfasts were fantastic. He makes homemade scones every morning- we were able to try marionberry, blueberry and peach. All of his breakfasts were appetizing and filling. The grounds... more

This was our first trip to the Willamette Valley and we had a great experience at the Brookside Inn. The innkeepers, Bruce and Susan, were extremely friendly and helpful, making last-minute dinner reservations and recommending fantastic wineries to visit. They served a gourmet three-course breakfast to-order every morning, complete with homemade granola, fresh-baked scones, a daily entree, and yummy coffee... more
