Where you arrive as a guest... Depart as a friend. Built in 1915, The Carlton Inn B&B is located within the charming community of Carlton, known as Oregon's most walkable wine district, "The Wine Capital of Oregon." A short walk and you will discover nearly two dozen tasting rooms and wineries as well as unique shops and wonderful restaurants. Within our B&B find four comfortable guestrooms, each with a private bathroom, equipped with blow dryer, fluffy towels, bath and body products; and two king rooms, and two queen-sized beds, each encased in soft microfiber sheets, and a warm, fluffy comforter; a living room with fireplace and TV area, and a shaded back porch overlooking the garden. You will dine on a multi-course breakfast prepared from scratch, using local products and produce when possible, some coming from the Inn's own garden and chickens. The Inn is considered a wine country destination, for this reason, no children under 12 years of age.

Stayed one night in two rooms with our adult son so we could visit a few wineries in and around Carlton. My wife and I booked the Garden Room on first floor and so glad we did. Very quiet at night with a super comfortable bed. Bathroom was very nice. Joka was a superb host - very friendly and accommodating. The living room had very nice seating areas. Breakfast was great - enjoyed the Dutch coffee! Wish we had been able to stay longer. Just a short walk or quick drive to downtown Carlton - Ken Wright Cellars is a must visit. There is easy parking at the Inn. Highly recommend for your next stay in Carlton when visiting the fabulous Willamette Valley wine country..

We recently had a wonderful overnight at this very special B&B in the heart of Oregon Wine Country. From the moment of our arrival, we were treated like special guests, not just another couple stopping by. Innkeeper Joka has created a delightfully relaxing and comfortable home base for anyone interested in exploring wine country. Our room was very nice, with comfortable bed and linens. She ensures there are beverages available day or night (make sure to ask for a "Dutch Coffee"). Our breakfast was hands down the best breakfast I've had at any B&B. In addition, the location is perfect, whether you want to explore quaint Carlton on foot, or if you want to hit any of the hundreds of wineries that are within a half hour's drive. I don't often write reviews, but this place was special enough that I just had to.

This is the second time I've stayed at the Carlton B&B, this time with new owners Joka and Kief. The cozy and clean vintage 2-story home features immaculate rooms with lovely fall foliage views in October. Their two pet chickens flew nightly into a tree outside my window and Kief tenderly brought them down to safety in their secure pens. Sweet. The Carlton Inn B&B is an easy walk to downtown restaurants, art galleries, and wine tasting rooms. Be forewarned that the best restaurants are open only from Thursday through the weekend. We were there on Tuesday and Wednesday, yet we had a surprisingly good dinner at a local's spot, The Blind Pig, only a four-minute walk. Carlton was the perfect base for our several days of wine tasting. The Carlton Inn B&B bedrooms have comfortable bedding and the dining and living rooms are inviting. Though it is not modern or luxurious, it is warm and welcoming thanks to the artistic touches of its wonderful owners. Both went out of their way to show kindness and interest in us. When I mentioned that I needed a business-related service, without being asked Kief made a trip and delivered to me what I was seeking. Joka prepared a delicious breakfast each morning on exquisite china. The food was a perfect balance of savory and not too sweet. Joka's specialty is Dutch Coffee and it was delicious. Our next stay was at a highly rated B&B in McMinneville. Though the rooms were larger and equipped with more products, we missed the warmth and comfort Joka and Kief extended to us and wished that we had extended our stay. Thank you Joka and Kief for creating such a memorable experience.

The innkeeper and her husband are amazing and treat you like family. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. We stayed in the Yamhill-Carlton Suite which gave us a nice amount of space and a private bathroom. Very comfortable. Location is walking distance to multiple excellent restaurants and wine tasting rooms.

Fantastic stay! Our host and hostess, Joka and Fredrick were wonderful. They make every day rememberal. The B&B was clean, well adorned with collectables, charming bedrooms and the best breakfast and Dutch coffee you will have. I can't say enough about our stay. This was a "girls week" of wine tasting and fun. Joka is so bubbly and sweet. Both made us feel at home. If you are in the area, be sure to say at the Carlton B&B. You won't be sorry

What a lovely weekend we had at the Carlton Inn! We're frequent hotel and AirBnB travelers but have never stayed at an actual B&B so thought we'd try it. It is centrally located if you're visiting wineries, and Carlton is a cute small town with several good restaurants. But you definitely don't need to find a breakfast restaurant because Joka's breakfasts are fantastic! I rolled out of there each morning with a full belly after having engaging conversation with the other guests at a seated meal, and slept comfortably in the large king sized bed in our spacious room with an en suite bathroom stocked with nice toiletries and plenty of towels. Thank you, Joka and Keif for a great stay!

Joka you were amazing, I am speechless as to what to say. Your bed &breakfast is beautiful and you are so attentive to every detail, the only thing I have to say it’s that I will come back here. You made me feel at home, my husband and I woke up very early every morning so we enjoyed being able to make our coffee and hang out in the living room. I felt like I was staying at a relative’s house instead of a bed & breakfast. Please come and check this place, Joka is the real deal and you will not be disappointed with breakfast.

Excellent relaxing couple of days! The bed in upstairs room 3 was very comfy as were the pillows. Sparking clean everything/everywhere. The hosts were so personable. The breakfast was wonderful everyday. The covered patio was a relaxing spot to end the day and visit with other guests and the hosts with a nice glass of wine that you are welcome to bring back and enjoy from town. We were sad when our visit was over. Don’t miss this one!

Our 4-day stay at The Carlton Inn was most comfortable, pleasant, quiet, and welcoming. We were participating at the International Pinot Noir Celebration in McMinnville at Linfield 7/28 -7/30/23. Delightful room, pleasant and comfortable living room to quietly read or watch video, and a nice outdoor area to sit with many trees. . . Joka-Elisabeth, the Innkeeper, is a treasure. So warm and helpful, providing breakfast that is eye-appealing and SO healthy. Keith, her partner, was also helpful and engaging. The Inn was undergoing renovations during our stay, but our hosts saw to it that there was minimal interference with all activities. A place to stay at if your destination is anywhere in Williamette wine country. Looking for any excuse to travel from Chicago and stay at The Carlton. .

Wouldn’t change a thing - Joka is a perfect host who goes above and beyond. The room welcomed us and had ample linens, extremely comfortable. Breakfast exceeded our wildest dreams, very creative and delicious with great conversation. Thoughtful touch providing coffee to our rooms ahead of breakfast, and unwinding with a glass of wine on the cozy porch. Everything you need is within walking distance, but even more food and wine within 10-15 minute drive. Highest recommendation!
