We only spent one night here but it was just wonderful! The room was so beautifully appointed, immaculately clean with the most comfy bed imaginable. Book room 114 for a corner view of Haystack Rock. You are right on this spectacular beach so the views are amazing. From the cookies at the front reception to the blankets delivered so you... more
We planned a trip to Cannon Beach for June 22-24 and chose the Ocean Lodge based on reviews on trip advisor and other sources. We were not disappointed. Cannon Beach itself is a very nice community. It is a slower pace, scenic and very well maintained community. The beach was excellent. Folks have campfires on the beach at night and... more
The Ocean Lodge is well.....Priceless! The rooms are done in a true "Northwest" style. Clean, beautiful and extremely comfortable. Walking in to the lodge you will smell an oak fire in the fireplace with fresh baked cookies and coffee to greet you. The rooms were spotless including a gas fireplace, tub and balcony. Be sure to book the ocean view... more
Thank you for taking the time write a review. The Ocean Lodge is truely a wonderful place, thank you for recognizing it's charm and priceless staff. Wendy
Stayed the first week of May 2009 and enjoyed every minute. Ocean front room with deck that stuck out a little further than most of the other decks, which gave us a great view of Haystack rock. Room is a tad small, but has many great features. Fireplace, desk, chest of drawers, chairs, very comfy bed, wet bar with empty... more
The Ocean Lodge is probably the best choice for any stay in Cannon Beach. We were only there for one night and then drove down the coast. The room and beds were great. Although the bedding seamed old. All beach front, so you could open the window and turn on the fireplace. The beach is not the fluffy sand that... more
After an extensive online search for a hotel in Cannon Beach I finally decided on The Ocean Lodge. We had never been to Cannon Beach or the Oregon coast so we were excited to check it out. We were looking for a private hotel with character and all the amenties that we love-not to mention a hotel that was pet... more
While the view was amazing (though you can have the same view at a variety of other hotels/resorts in the area), there's much to be desired. I felt that room was cramped for three adults and a toddler, and was dismayed when I realized that the kitchenette doesn't include anything to cook with! No pots, pans, stove or oven-not even... more
We recently stayed at the Ocean Lodge for the weekend. PRO: The location is amazingly beautiful--right on the beach and the public areas are cozy, NW chic (fireplace, comfy chairs, etc.). Pleasant staff. CONS: Rooms and the complementary breakfast leave much to be desired. We paid approximately $250 for an Ocean view Queen--definitely not worth it. The room was clean... more
Recently stayed in the Ocean Lodge for two nights and had a wonderful experience, which was enhanced by my proposal of marriage to my (now) fiance on the beach in front of the hotel. I have stayed in Cannon Beach many times (at least 30) and thus have experienced many hotel properties including the Stephanie Inn located immediately North of... more
