This is our 21st time staying at the Waves. And it is still one of our favorite destinations. Great base for visiting the coast. We always stay in a 2nd floor unit ocean view- 2 bedrooms, 2 baths. 6 of us total. The beds are extremely comfortable and there is a large kitchen with everything you need. Microwave, stove, full... We arrived late in the day, and we were able to find a room at reasonable rates. We very seldom make reservations, and the manager and staff really went out of their way to make our stay a pleasant one. If we come back, we will make the Waves our place to stay.

We stayed this time in the Garden Court. Last minute booking so we were happy to find a room at all during the Plein Air Art Festival at Cannon Beach. The newly remodeled rooms were nicely appointed. No view back on this row but could still hear the ocean and had a nice breeze in the room. Very comfortable king... More

We really liked The Waves. When we checked in, we thought we might stay an extra night, using Cannon Beach as our base camp for exploring the coast. Management accommodated us with a room that suited us better than the one originally booked, and let us be flexible about the length of our stay. We needed a little help with... More

Five of us (four adults, one toddler) stayed on the beach front early July. The rooms were very clean and the kitchen well stocked. We even had two refrigerators. One comment we had was that not too many of the windows on the ground floor opened. It would have been more cool if more could open on the warm days.... More

An easy walk to several good art galleries, shops, restaurants. And, of course, the beautiful Cannon Beach beach. Our room was nice, comfortable and quiet; the staff friendly and polite. Just what we wanted, we'll be back. We were there for the annual "Plein Air & More" art weekend (last weekend of June), and enjoyed seeing all the artists at... More

This is my second trip to the Waves. The view to Ecola State Park does not include Haystack Rock but you get to enjoy views of the park and its pristine forest and the Tillamook Head Lighthouse. I prefer the beachfront rooms to the ocean view rooms. The town of Cannon Beach and all the shops, galleries and restaurants are... More

Decided to stay in Cannon Beach on the spur of the moment. Found the Waves. It was wonderful . Rooms are very well decorated, with gas fireplaces (many). Very clean, well cared for. The room with the ocean view was so nice we decided to stay an extra night, in an ocean front room. Good value. Highly recommended.

Cannon Beach is a great little beach town. It's unpretentious and when we were there, uncrowded and unspoiled. I chose the Waves Motel because it was a good combination of value, comfort, and location and I think I made a great choice. We were on the beach and within walking distance of everywhere we needed to go. The room was... More

Everything from check in, room configuration/furnishings and hot tub were just great. Excellent access to Beach and Town. We definitely will be coming back and The Waves would be our first choice. Bill B.
