What a refreshing get away. Five of us adults gathered for a 3 day family retreat. The grounds are gorgeous! We had one dinner and my husband and I celebrated Fathers Day at brunch while the rest hiked. We enjoyed sleeping with the cool air and sealing the cabin to retain some coolness throughout warm days.

We chanced upon this little gem while we were driving to Bend and sorely in need of a coffee break. The charming person at reception made us excellent coffees and gave us tips on what we should see in the area. Wish we could have stayed longer, very envious of those who are staying there.

We won a stay here in a Kiwanis auction and are so glad we did! This is a lovely true 'lodge' from the 1930's at least ( ok I am not sure of the actual date...) all wood paneled and smelling of roaring fires in the stone fireplace. The accommodations are nice and the well-maintained cabins are fun to stay in. I expected mold ( I am very sensitive to it) but did not find it. But you won't stay in..!.. not with all the amazing natural world to explore around you. From the many hiking trails ... the amazing headwaters of the beautiful Metolius river ...to Wizard falls ...and the fish hatchery... Camp Sherman and the Lake Creek Lodge will rejuvenate your soul. We loved our breakfast in the lodge and the staff were a real pleasure to chat with.

A wonderful experience every time we go. This was our 7th time staying at Lake Creek Lodge which is a great place to bring the family or to just relax in an ideal setting. Cabins are beautiful, both the new and the old renovated cabins. Fabulous grounds and setting. Lots to do in the area - hiking, biking, skiing, swimming and fishing - or just do nothing and enjoy.

We just got back from a stay at Lake Creek Lodge in a log cabin right by the creek. Could not have been more perfect or serene, with fresh snow on the ground, a helpful and welcoming staff and a clean and well appointed cabin. Someone had cleared a path to the front door for us and turned on the lamps so it was cozy and easy to access despite the heavy snowfall.

We stayed in Cabin 7. This has been a resort since the early 1900's. I loved reading about the history. When you walk in there is a bathroom on the left down a small hallway. The Bed, Kitchen, and Living room are all one. There is a fireplace, dining room table w/2 chairs and one comfortable chair (wish there was 2 comfortable chairs)We had a fire the entire time...soooo relaxing. They bring 1 bundle a day for you to use and it's $6 for any additional bundles. I did pay for another bundle and that was more than enough. Our cabin was small but the ones around us were really big. The housekeeper let us look in the cabin next to us when the people checked out and it was huge. Great for families and lots of board games. I say this because there is no TV in most cabins. They have

After missing Camp Sherman for ten years we finally got a chance to be together in a magical place. The cabin was cozy and well equipped to prepare our Thanksgiving feast. We hiked and saw many deer and our five year old granddaughter could hike, play, and explore to her heart's content. Wondering around Lake Creek and over to the Metolius was wonderful. The staff were flexible and friendly and we enjoyed the game room and playground. Our dogs had the best time also exploring and hanging out with all the family. Already planning for summer.

This is perfect for families, dog lovers or anyone who wants to be in nature but have a little more than just a campsite or bare bones cabin. We booked cabin #13 for a last minute trip in late September. The decor was mixed and a bit outdated, the cabin was clean and cozy with great down blankets but pillows like a large block of cheese that had been left out on the counter for three days -so stiff! We're glad we brought our own. A lovely deck with more seating and grill helped give more space to relax. Grounds were beautiful! Just enough landscaping to have room for walking and trails but also enjoy the natural creek and pines on the property. We took advantage of the pool, the playground, the basketballs etc... and loved the trails that led to the pond. We also played pool

Unfortunately, Lake Creek Lodge has become popular and also has lost much of its charm. Brighter lights installed at the camp have supplmented the feel of cozy with urban. The facilities, such as the rec room, are run down (pool cues broken, ping pong balls dented, ping pong paddles broken, etc.) yet the price is expensive. It's a situation where the wrong things get the wrong attention (over illuminated) and the good stuff gets ignored and rundown. Rather than friendly people at the front desk, now there are efficient people at the front desk. It feels like the ownership priority is about order and profit and not about the experience. Bring a mattress pad. The beds are hard.

My wife and I just ended our annual one week trip to Lake Creek Lodge. The Camp Sherman area is one of my favorite places in the world. I love central Oregon. Perfect for the outdoor adventurer. We have been going to Lake Creek Lodge at least once a year for the last dozen years. We have stayed in cabins 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 20. This time we stayed in cabin 2- which is my personal favorite. The cabins are (for the most part) very rustic and basic. All of the cabins are unique, ans since we stayed in cabin 2 this time, my review will be based on this cabin only. Cabin 2 is a two bedroom, one bath cabin with kitchen, living room, and screened in front porch, plus a nice outside deck with table and chairs. All of the cabins have propane grills. This is a very nice
