These cute cabins on the river are perfect for a respite in the mountains. The river is amazing....changing at each turn and beautiful. The cabin's only issue is the loft bedroom - no room to stand up and difficult access on a steep, small ladder. Otherwise the cabin has everything.

I think you have the wrong resort. Here at the Metolius River Resort twe have a staircase to loft and there is plenty of room to stand up and move around. We even have game tables upstairs. our cabins have full size kitchens with dishwashers. I think you may have stayed at Cold Springs Resort, they have ladders to the... More

I've stayed at Metolius River Resort several times, usually in cabin 11, once in cabin 9. (Very) elegant rusticness. Quiet. More private feeling than a hotel. Walk to a quaint store that is incredibly well stocked. There is a spacious shared lawn between the cabin porches and the river; beautiful to look at, fun to play in.

My husband and I used to vacation at this resort every summer for 10 years. Something has changed over the last couple of years. Even though we have been good guests, not noisy, not messy, and leave very generous tips, the hired help has treated us with disdain. I can only surmise that they think we're rich haves and they... Where do I begin!? I first discovered Camp Sherman decades ago when I was a college student at the University of Oregon - though it wasn't until many years later that I learned of the Metolius River Resort (heaven on earth as others have noted!) There are 11 cabins here situated in the middle of a gorgeous Ponderosa Pine forest... More

If you want to get away from it all and be surrounded by nature you simply can't get any better than the Metolius River Resorts. You are surrounded by luxury inside the cabin and surrounded by beauty outside of the cabin. Sitting in an Adirondack chair listening to the Metolius as it bubbles by is absolute perfection. We stayed in... More

The location of the resort is perfect -- it's right on the metolius river and a short walking distance from the camp sherman store, also a short bike ride from multiple trails. the resort has a great rolling grass lawn that's amazing and adds to the feel of the place. The cabins are really nice and well equipped - the... More

We've Ben staying here for 20 years, but you can't tell the cabins and grounds are that old. We love driving through the pine forest on a warm day (that lovely pine scent is so relaxing.) Each cabin is tastefully decorated, although we do have two favorites ;) The managers, Nancy and Allen, really make you feel like you are... More

This is our second visit to the Metolius River Resort staying in cabin 2. We absolutely love it there. We were late arriving so we called on the way and Nancy let us know that our key would be pinned to the bulletin board at the managers office. It was there as expected. The lights were on in our cabin... More

Well, this is an "unusual" review of sorts, but is worth your time reading! We were so looking forward to spending four nights in one of their cabins in August, when we learned that due to competing college orientation schedules with our son - we needed to cancel. I gave Nancy a call to let her know, hoping I could... More
