First of all, we totally agree with earlier reviewer, Black Butte resort is located on the south side of Hwy. 20. It is a beautiful, family-oriented golf resort. When staying here, there are many amenities available. Such as: Walking and jogging trails, bike trails, horseback riding, 2 great golf courses, a pool, gorgeous views of meadows and mountains, and both... More

Trip advisor you need to update your vacation listings. Black butte resort north of the highway (what is shown in your map) is an RV park. Black butte ranch is a golf resort located on the south side of the highway. VERY different properties and there are reviews for both here. I have never stayed at the RV park but... More

We always stay at eaglecrest.. This time we decided to try out black butte what a bad decision! We got to the house the outside light wouldn't work, the front door would not unlock, the door knobs inside were falling off, tv would not work, toilet seat was broken, wood for wood stove was rotten, the tile in bathroom broken... A great three nights in a Ridge House at Black Butte. Great time walking, riding bikes and horses, paddleboarding and canoeing. The lovely town of Sisters just down the road provides alternatives. The house itself was clean spacious and had a great vibe.

We spent 3 incredible days hiking, biking, walking around the area. The resort is quiet with a great little store that even sold growlers with local microbrews! The restaurant at Camp Sherman has great family style dinners and I hear similarly delicious breakfasts too although not open year round.

I hate to trash a 4-star resort, but what sort of upscale resort has no air conditioning? OK, so 96 is quite a bit above average, but it is not unheard of. Summertime highs frequently reach mid-80s, and so I was stunned to discover when we checked into our dark, dank, sweltering lodge room #29 that none of the lodge... More

Really a wonderful place. Golf is outstanding, activities are great and facilities are ample. Don't expect an inexpensive visit, but well worth it, especially with families. There are lots of free things in the area as well. We've come here for years and are never disappointed, any season.

The golf course remodel of the Glaze Meadow course was very well done. The greens being new are very firm. Very enjoyable golf course. The lodging I stayed in near the Big Meadow has seen better days and needs a refurbishment. I highly recommend that you rent a private house from a site like VRBO, instead of from Black Butte... We arrived at this camp after 7 hours of driving and were very disappointed to see 30 or so RVs all crowded together and in the open. The camp staff were very friendly and helpful and campers have such good etiquette that we managed to enjoy ourselves regardless. Our site had no sewer hookup which we knew before we got... More
