Place was probably built in the 70's and it is still there today. Paid extra for river view room and got it. Narrow patio leads off to dirt area in front of small ditch that isn't very attractive. Staff is very friendly and helpful but I would expected better accommodations for the price paid. Outdoor pool was closed for maintenance... more

We booked a 3 night stay here. I called them 3 times to make sure we had a jacuzzi, kitchen room on ground level. We arrived had to drag all of our stuff up two stairways and down the hall ( no luggage carts/no elevator). It was so dark in the room that I couldn't even read the phone or... more

Stayed here for one night on a recent vacation. We arrived in Bend and, based on Frommers, we stopped here and requested 3 rooms. Each room had a river view and a fireplace in addition to fridge and microwave. Very nice rooms and comfortable beds. I slept to the sound of the river, with the sliding patio door open (and... more

This was our splurge hotel of our trip, and it was amazing. When we looked at the map, we assumed this was the middle of nowhere and that the hotels would be roadside. However we were struck dumb when we entered this growing city with many high end and normal stores and a very lovely "escaping it all vibe". The... more

When I booked my reservations there were no rooms with a view of the river left so I had to settle for one without the view. This is the second time I've stayed here and the first time we had a beautiful view of the river. It was very peaceful and pretty. When we first got there they gave us... more

This hotel was the perfect "weekend getaway"...delicious restaurant on site, nice little covered bridge connects you to the hotel from your room, wood-burning fireplace in the room, private patio overlooking the river. The hotel is "older" but has been kept up very well and doesn't look old. Very clean. Can't say enough nice things! more

One hundred adults traveled by plane and bus to Bend for a ski week at Mt. Bachelor. The Riverhouse staff treated us extremely well. The Grill and Spirits was a nice location for apres ski. We were offered shuttle service in the evenings so we could enjoy the numerous fine restaurants in town. The food at the Crossings Steak House,... more

The room was too dark and long. The decor is dated and worn. The bed is uncomfortable with a definate "roll" off the end feeling,as well as being too hard. Bedding was clean however along with the towelsThe view of the river is minimum and the noise of traffic outside was competing with the babbling brook image. When you close... more

Our room was exquisite. I think there is a new and an old part of the hotel because I stayed there 14 years ago on the east side of the river much closer to the water. Our room did, as requested, overlook the water, but much further away on the west side of the Deschutes River. I wanted to keep... more

We had a wonderful fall getaway to this lovely, though a bit dated hotel. Car required to see the city and surrounding attractions. Nice free breakfast and clean, rather spacious rooms. Being on the river was the best part. more
