A group of friends and I went to the St Francis School this past weekend. We had some good beer, and then we soaked in the very cool soaking pool. The pool was warm and quiet, and every one of us slept like a baby that night! Fun place-----

We stayed in the Art Cottage for two nights (2 toddles, my husband and I). It was spacious and the rooms were clean. The beds were old and a little uncomfortable. The linen was also threadbare. The bathroom was sufficient, and there was plenty of room in the comfortable lounge room to relax. While a large size kitchen was provided,... More

Always come here once a month for good food and local brews. I love the building and grounds. Food never disappoints. And the selection of beers is vast. Service is iffy, depending on who you get, but usually friendly.

Didn't stay overnight, but had a late lunch in the main pub/restaurant on a cold & sunny Feb. afternoon. Hubby & I shared a vegetable pizza (very good) for $13 & an order of sweet potato fries fpr $9. Thought the fries pricey, but they were excellent with a really good dipping mayo sauce. Toured the hotel, soaking tub &... More

This hotel is a bit expensive, but there's so much to do on the grounds that its worth it. The soaking pool is beautiful and relaxing. There's a movie theatre that's very inexpensive and cozy. There are multiple fire pits to keep you warm on cold days. The food is pretty good. If you've never stayed at one of the... More

We stayed at the Old St. Francis School on a beautiful, sunny January weekend last month. The hotel really made our trip. The 2 queen room was an excellent value, especially considering the quality of the on-site restaurants. The location, right in the heart of downtown Bend, absolutely can't be beat. I've visited all the McMenamins hotels and this one... More

We were passing through town and saw the Old St. Francis School Pub and decided to stop for lunch. Upon entering, we realized that it was also a hotel. We so enjoyed the lunch and setting, that we decided to spend the night. Luckily they had a suite. After lunch we enjoyed the soaking pool, then a nap, then we... More

We stayed in the nunnery which was typically quaint and spacious. We enjoyed the soaking tub, the restaurant, and two of the bars. It was great to be outside by one of the many fire pits and enjoy good drink and company.

I have stayed at this local wonder on two occasions. The last time was in December when I needed a quick getaway after a long, taxing week. The room was warm and cozy, my soak in the pool was so relaxing, and the restaurant is always a treat. Where else can you stay that at one time was a parochial... More

We stayed here over the Holidays and I was very happy with the accommodations. The rooms were warm and decor was a woodsy decor like a cabin. The dark wood that decorated the interior of the rooms and hotel was recovered from an old whiskey factory somewhere back East. It gave the place a rich feel. Because of the low... More
