Bend is awesome and we always enjoy our trips in this town. The Shilo inn is about a mile or two away from downtown. Parts of the Inn overlook the Deschutes river. If you can get one of the rooms with the river view, it is certainly plus. Service was adequate. Fitness room was terrible. Housekeeping was OK at best. more

My two daughters and I stayed for two nights in August of 2006, so maybe some improvements have been made. It's not run down, but it definitely needs updating.
