Bandon was actually better than I had thought it would be. No, its not Sea Island, but the golf and mandatory walking is what makes it great. Unpretentious and straight forward. Mother Nature is what makes it great. A forward thinking owner who took a gamble with unknown architects and hit the jackpot!! Caddies are the way to go. Accomodations... more

Let me start by saying that Bandon Dunes is the most unique golf experiance I've ever had and I've played in Ireland, Pebble, Spyglass and Prarie Dunes in Kansas. The fact that it is all about golf and you are isolated and surrounded by 3 awesome courses on the Pacific coast is enough ! The golf is what they claim...... more

The most dramatic trio of golf courses in any single resort I've ever seen. Only St. Andrews, Gleneagles and Pinehurst rival it, but for sheer visual drama, they fall short of Bandon. Pure golf -- no pretension, no BS. Exceptional staff throughout. Do yourself a favor and book caddies. One day we played in a seven-club wind. Only an experienced... more

I recently traveled to Bandon Dunes as part of a club sponsored golf trip involving 24 golfers. While at the resort, we stayed in the four bedroom cottages which were perfect for our purposes. The cottages are very simply appointed, but perfectly functional. Staff was very accomodating during our stay. The resort features three world class golf courses with a... more

Bandon Dunes has to be the best total golf experience in the USA. To get something similar you have to travel to Scotland/Ireland. The courses are superb. The gorse was in bloom when we were there and it was quite a visual sight. Pacific Dunes was probably the best course. The caddies were great and the absence of carts was... more

I love Bandon. I have been there about 8 times now. Its simple yet accommodating. As the other reviews have said, if you dont golf, a day or two at the most will be all you can handle. My girlfriend plays so we went for 3 days and played each course. This past week I went with 4 guys and... more

We drove up to Bandon from Napa and it was worth the long car trip. Fantastic golf, extremely knowledgable and fun caddies, delicious food and wonderful views. My husband and I both had massages which were great, but the treatment rooms themselves were located just off the sauna area and were a little noisy. We stayed at the Lodge and... more

Played Bandon and Pacific would haved played Trails but my girl was getting bored. Worth the long drive and almost worth 250 a round. Didn't stay at the lodge, the Windemere by the Sea was fine at a third of the price. If your not a golfer or nature lover you maybe bored it is Southern Oregon after all. The... more

If you are a golfer, this place is paradise. If you are the girlfriend of a golfer, then Bandon Dunes is nice, but I wouldn't recommend it for longer than a few days for the simple reason that there is not a whole lot to do. The weather wasn't ideal the one day we spent there so I couldn't spend... more
