Let me start out first by saying, I am not the best of writers like some of these other comments listed below so let me just get to the point. Every year my wife and I will take an out of our normal Westin Resort Villa Timeshare trip to Scottsdale or Maui to another top notch nonrelated resort. Over the... more

Spectacular scenery (some of the best in the world), excellent course design on all 3 courses. However a heads up, they use fescue grass on the tees, fairways and greens all year round. The only difference between tee, fairway and green is the height of the cut. If you are expecting beautiful smooth greens like bentgrass greens look like you... more

Bandon Dunes golf resort exceeded the hype and my lofty expectations. We stayed at the Lilly Pond, had dinner on site at the pub, smoked cigars in the bunker but none of that is the point . . . the rooms and beds very clean and comfortable, nice patio out back facing a lilly pond. the food and cigars excellent.... more

Stayed a night at Bandon Dunes so my golfer husband could have his fix and not have to travel all the way to Scotland and Ireland which is what he normally does. He declared after playing the Pacific course that he would never do Ireland again (Scotland is still special). The gorse was in full bloom so it was spectacularly... more

Golf is a game that at its essence reflects an era long past. A time when life moved slower and the big picture wasn't lost in trivial details. This is what Bandon Dunes is all about. A soul searching journey into the past within the backdrop of a spectacular golf venue. You have to earn this the hard way too.... more

Let me start by saying that yes, this resort was primarily built for the golfer, but don't let that stop you from visiting this place if you're in the area. Even for a non-golfer, this place is just a beautiful piece of property, and everyone short of rambunctious teenagers looking for a party type scene, should love it. ROOM: PROS:... more

My husband and I stayed three days in Bandon. He played golf - I did not. Most of the reviews seem to be of the golf courses and according to my husband, the courses are excellent. So, I'll try a review of something other than the courses. First, there is nothing to do in Bandon if you don't golf. The... more

Read no further -- Bandon is worth the trip - book now. Three buddies & I ventured to Oregon in April 08 and descended on Bandon from Portland via rental minivan. Scenic coastal drive combined with typical guy talk made the miles go fast. We stayed two nights at the resort in Lilly Pond rooms. Great for sleeping as that's... more

Just got back from Bandon with my wife. 3 days of 36. The winds in the morning were not too bad about 1 club but in the afternoon forget about it. At 11 pacfic 130 yard hole I hit a solid 190 shot to 1 foot, shot of the trip. Thanks to the advice from my caddie David Hill who... more

My Dad (10 hcp), my girlfriend (32 hcp), and I (5) headed out to Bandon for a long weekend trip - 36 a day, for 3 days. After visiting Ireland, and playing the links courses there, I expected a similar experience at Bandon - coursewise and weather. What we got was (dare I say) better. First, the weather - although... more
