I waited some time to post this review, because I did not want any staff members to get into trouble. I am hoping that the intervening months and omission of names and certain details from this review will make it more difficult to identify the parties involved. I stayed here for a few days toward the end of 2013. It... More

This hotel was falling down at one time. The roof was gone, rain and snow falling into the building and the pigeons made it their home. The new owners came in and have done a great job of bringing the hotel back to life. Remember the hotel was built in 1889 so it has a little wear and is not... More

We stayed at the Geiser Grand for 5 nights during the Hell's Canyon Motorcycle Rally. The Hotel itself is beautiful, clean and comfortable - but there is no customer service to speak of. Mostly we felt un-welcome. At check - in I asked if it was possible to get a tour of the hotel and find out some of it's... More

We stayed here for one night of our US road trip and thought the hotel, it's atmosphere and staff were wonderful. We cannot identify why there are a number of terrible comments elsewhere (admittedly a small minority). Maybe it is a nationality thing. Being from UK we rather enjoyed the relaxed "olde worlde" pace and charm of the hotel, a... More

What a neat hotel for a stop over on our road trip. So convenient to restaurants downtown too. Loved reading the ghost stories online while we were there. Check in a little slower than a regular hotel, but keep in mind this is a local place. Its ok to be patient. I thought the staff was very friendly and welcoming.... More

I spent just one night here, driving from Portland to Cincinnati, so didn't have much time to enjoy it. But my room was very nice, quiet, relaxing. This hotel is a real antidote to the dull corporate places I typically stay in, and I always believe it's important to support such hotels. This one is very nice and highly recommended.

This was a beautiful hotel with excellent service. I can't imagine a better hotel in this city. You could probably find a cheaper room in a chain hotel off the freeway, but the bit of extra money is worth it for the great room and experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Though the restaurant was slow getting the... More

Great rooms, wonderful staff, great food and a nice bar. Couldn't say more. We were fully impressed. Dog friendly with our 50 pound dog. They even offered dog bowls when we checked in. Right On Main St. And across from a nice park with a river to play in. Do yourself a favor and spend some time here.

We have stopped here many times for lunch or dinner but this time we stayed 1 night! Wonderful. Beautiful. A step back in time. Fantastic steak dinner and history lesson in the dining room. Loved the small library. The staff is wildly kind and knowledgeable about the area. Will definitely stay again. Thank You!

The view room for $20 more was a joke, the view was a dive bar across the street where sick people hurled and urinated on the most traveled street in Baker. The happy hour bait and switch caught me totally off-guard, $3 two for one was $17 when billed. Our room was not ready until 4:50 PM. Breakfast at 8:AM the... More
