We stayed here for two nights on an Amazon Local special and were very pleased with our stay. The room was clean and very spacious and the Wednesday evening dinner special (Pasta Bar) was excellent! We would definitely stay here again!

The Geiser Grand Hotel is indeed Grand. It's beautiful remodel, classy dining room, library, cupola rooms and convenient downtown location make it a must if you are staying in Baker City, Oregon. From the outset and you know that care, love, and concern have been put into the fantastic remodel, including stained glass over the lobby. Have no doubt, the... More

We almost missed this place because of some less than perfect reviews. A couple of reviews had complained about charges on their credit cards they were not informed about. But these were really just the "holds" on credit lots of places do, not a problem unless you only have a $500 limit or so. What a grand place. A really... More

I LOVE restored historic hotels! Geiser Grand and Columbia Gorge are the nicest in OR! The building restoration is stunning- not complete- but very elegant. We always ask for suites with "special" views- and are NEVER disappointed! Two story windows looking out towards the hills and the vast sky. The big King beds are so comfortable- Baths and room-sizes are... More

The Geiser Grand Hotel is really special. The history of the building and the small city is important to the region, and you get it all when you stay at the Geiser Grand. We've stayed there 3 times now, and each time, I notice that the maintenance is excellent, which is hard to keep up with such an old building... More

We looked forward to getting a well-deserved "pampered" weekend and thought The Grand would serve that purpose...WRONG! They charged an outrageous/misc fee of $250 "Incidental fee" that automatically is taken from your bank, so basically the hotel is getting a "loan" on my dime. The front staff was fairly pleasant, but didn't really go out of their way to accommodate.... More

I booked a night at this hotel over the phone and was told I needed to prepay the room charge of $149. No problem, many hotels ask that you prepay for the best available rate. I also mentioned that we needed a SnoPark pass for the day after we checked in, and was told it wouldn't be a problem. The... More

Paid for my room when I made the reservation, charged $250 incidental fee at check-in, when questioned on the fees they told me the bank was in charge of depositing my $250. Called my bank & the hotel actually sets the fee amount and terms. They have a week to return your $$. Just a FYI as the hotel staff... More

We spent two nights at the Geiser Grand and were very impressed. We had a room with two queen beds that was quite spacious with high ceilings and beautiful chandeliers. Bed and bedding were very nice and comfy and the robes were wonderful (although I chose not to pay $75 to take one home). I can understand how they might... More

We celebrated Valentine's Day at the fabulous Geiser Grand! I treated my family of four to a 5 night vacation at the Geiser Grand Hotel in Baker City, Or. The historic hotel with its beautiful tiffany glass ceiling above the dining area is a sight to behold. The staff was nice, the restaurant's lobster dinner delicious, and the parlor room... More
