This is a good spot to settle in for a night or two while exploring all of the many things to do in the area: Talimena Scenic Drive, Quachita National Forest and numerous hiking traisl, ATV trails, and horse camps. Talihina is a small Oklahoma town with several antique/flea markets and a restaurant named Hateful Hussey. How can you pass... More

We stayed for 3 nights. The room was so clean. The bed was comfortable. We were pampered by the owners. We were greeted with cookies our first night, and surprised with cupcakes later in our stay. Owners were very knowledgable about sightseeing and hiking in the area. Every morning we were served a gourmet breakfast. The day of our planned... More

We visited this amazing B&B on our way to travel the Talimena Drive. We were greeted by the owners Carolyn & Essex at the door and given a short tour of the dining area. They have done a great job of restoring this old Hotel. The history of the hotel and the town of Talihina is every where you look.... More

As others have said, Carolyn & Essex could not be more welcoming to this delightful "House". They have lovingly restored this amazing building and turned it into a very comfortable B&B. They are proud of their accomplishment and rightfully so. Everything is set up to ensure you have everything you need. even though there is no fridge in the rooms... More

Stayed here on a motorcycle trip from GA to TX. Only choice in Talihina, if you want nice, clean room. More importantly, as others said, the owners treat you like old friends visiting their home. Carolyn and Essex welcomed me on my arrival. They made sure I was settled in and went out of their way to accommodate me. I... More

My Besty and I rode our bikes across the Talemina Scenic Highway, and needed a place to stay at the end of a long, hot ride. I found the Hootie Creek House B & B through Tripadvisor, and I am really glad I did. We had a great stay, in a lovely property, and were pampered by the owners, Carolyn... More

Loved this quaint little place. Lovely and clean. The owners restored this building and put lots of work into every detail. Breakfast was lovely. Love sitting in the sitting room. It was a cozy place to rest after spending many days in hotel rooms. It was nice to have a place to hang out other than the room. Owners were... More

We loved our stay at Hootie Creek. Beautifully restored building, and the owners are so accommodating and welcoming. There is much to see and do in that area, and this is the place to stay. Clean, charming, not over-decorated... just a beautiful place that lets you relax in comfort. The recommendation to take the Talihina Drive was appreciated, and I'm... More

We normally do not stay in B&Bs as we like our privacy and comfort. Following recommendations from friend, we decided to give Hootie in Talihina a chance. We were not disappointed. It has all the comfort of an hotel and the charm of a B&B in an old historical building, very well restored. Room was large and well decorated, the... More
