The room we stayed in was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The upstairs sitting room had a comfy leather couch and there were photo albums that showed the process of restoring the building. There was a mini fridge in the hallway and a platter of homemade cookies. Carolyn and Essex were accomodating and thoughtful. Breakfast at the counter... More

Hootie Creek Bed & Breakfast is an excellent place to stay if you plan to drive the scenic Talimena Drive because it is just a few miles away from the entrance. It is a quiet and peaceful B&B located in Talihina near the small downtown area with comfortable beds and old-fashioned rooms with wooden floors. Owners Carolyn and Essex have... More

Far exceeds your expectations. They treat you like family they love. No kidding! The breakfast is awesome and home made cookies, too. The new addition of their upstairs porch is a nice area to relax and watch the evening skies for satellites. We are looking forward to their new ideas across the street. We are definitely planning to visit again... More

6 of us (3 Couples) reserved 3 of their 5 rooms for both Friday and Saturday night. Carolyn & her husband Essex are so friendly & accommodating, just visiting them would make the trip worthwhile. When we next visit Talihina I know we won't have any trouble filling up all 5 of their rooms... if they're available!!! They even allowed... More

Loved our room, breakfast was fantastic and the owners, Essex and Carolyn, were welcoming and friendly! The property is well maintained and their is plenty of sitting rooms, inside and outside, to visit with friends. The backyard deck overlooks a very nice garden.

This is a good spot to settle in for a night or two while exploring all of the many things to do in the area: Talimena Scenic Drive, Quachita National Forest and numerous hiking traisl, ATV trails, and horse camps. Talihina is a small Oklahoma town with several antique/flea markets and a restaurant named Hateful Hussey. How can you pass... More

We stayed for 3 nights. The room was so clean. The bed was comfortable. We were pampered by the owners. We were greeted with cookies our first night, and surprised with cupcakes later in our stay. Owners were very knowledgable about sightseeing and hiking in the area. Every morning we were served a gourmet breakfast. The day of our planned... More

We visited this amazing B&B on our way to travel the Talimena Drive. We were greeted by the owners Carolyn & Essex at the door and given a short tour of the dining area. They have done a great job of restoring this old Hotel. The history of the hotel and the town of Talihina is every where you look.... More
