We stayed there two nights in May 2009 and felt fortunate to find such nice accomodations in sleepy little Holdenville. (population around 5,000) Our alternative was to stay in Ada, over 50 miles away but we were down for a couple of days working on maintaining the old family farm place about 12 miles from Holdenville. The Pallmer Inn would be an outstanding establishment in a much larger city which makes it all the more remarkable that it is located in a small farming community in remote rural Oklahoma. The rooms were clean and tastefully decorated with antiques. The strict non-smoking policy keep everything smelling fresh and pleasant. There are but two motels in town (Capri and Country Club) that are considerably cheaper (we found the rates for the Pallmer Inn quite reasonable considering the accomodations) but as the old saying goes, "you get what you pay for".
