The occasional distant "clippity clop" of the horse hooves we heard as the carriages traveled down the road near us during our stay didn't really bother us. The atmosphere was very relaxing, the room was very spacious, and the staff attentive and helpful. The check-in and check-out was very quick, and the lady behind the desk offered helpful information to... More

We stopped here on our way from Kentucky to Niagara Falls, Ontario. It was the half way point. Loved the atmosphere and charm of the hotel. The receptionist was more than helpful and made us feel very welcome, altho we arrived late and did not have reservations. The complimentary breakfast was a big hit with my 3 small grandsons. I... We found this to be very nice. However if there is a performance downstairs ask for a room on an upper floor. We were right above the room and you would have thought we had front row seats!too loud! Breakfast was good and we didn't have the opportunity to upgrade as we stayed on a Sat. night. Snacks at night... More

We have stayed here before. The two bedroom suite was a present to ourselves after driving all day to attend a wedding in New Philadelphia. We arrived late, but found snacks in our room which was great. The beds are so comfortable and have quilts that are very nice. It is always clean. When you look outside at night there... More

We stayed in the Honeymoon Suite - the room was clean and beautiful, the service was outstanding, we loved the two-person jacuzzi and had a great time site-seeing the local area. We would have given five-stars had it not been for the false-advertising we experienced. We purchased one of the packages they offer. Online, these packages are clearly advertised as... More

My husband planned our overnight trip for my birthday. It was my request to visit Amish country. We were lucky to have such a nice warm & sunny day in the middle of January. This was our first, overnight stay, without children. We were greeted by the receptionist with a warm, friendly smile. She made us feel so welcome &... More

This was our first stay at this Carlisle Inn but it won't be our last. We had an anniversary get-away and this was when the temperatures hit record lows with wind chills of 37 below. What a warm and comfy spot at this time of year! Before we even arrived Michelle worked with us and got us an unbelievable price... More

For more than a year we have worked with the kind folks at the Carlisle Inn hoping to have a gathering of our two families for the Christmas season. It started with a gathering using one of the large meeting rooms, for our families to meet each other. Amy was a tremendous help with every detail. She was so warm... More

We travel up to spend time in the Amish community at least once a year. If you need a change of pace from the rat race, then this is for you. We usually stay here and at 1 other hotel in the area. Very nice and close to shopping. Although there is an eating establishment next door, the breakfast bar... More
