Right in the heart of Amish country you'll find this gem of a hotel. As soon as the front doors open and you see the beautiful decor and winding staircase you KNOW you're in for a treat. The rooms are immaculate. Each one also has a balcony with chairs which is perfect to enjoy the scenic countryside and enjoy the... More

My husband and I took our two oldest grandchildren (5 n 2) for an overnight stay. We stayed on a Sunday night. Upon check in as I looked around and saw mostly older woman around me I felt I may have made a mistake bringing two small children here for and evening of swimming and then a visit to Amish... More

This was just an excellent all around hotel! Our room was great...a very nice size and the beds were quite comfortable. The customer service/staff were very friendly, courteous and helpful. The view/location is outstanding. We only stayed one night, but have decided the next time we are in the area, we will stay at least two nights! If you are... More

My parents have stayed at this home before and always said how great of a hotel it is. I finally was able to see that for myself this past weekend with my family. All of the staff that I came in contact with was very friendly. Can't wait to go back again!!!

My husband and I have made an annual trip to the Carlisle Inn for the past 7 years. This year's trip was everything and more than we expected. The staff is friendly, the inn is lovely, the indoor pool is fabulous and the continental breakfast yummy. We also think the DVD player and refrigerator are nice ammenities for a standard... More

Arrived at 11:30am and since our roof was ready we were given our room keys which was much appreciated! Friendly front desk staff and their computer guy was able to get me connected to the Internet. Lovely king room on second floor reasonably close to the large breakfast room and pool. This place is wonderful for a nice getaway, but... More

The Carlisle is part of the Der Dutchman campus in the Amish country of central Ohio. The hotel is first rate, always neat, clean and comfortable, but the combination with the rest of the campus make it just what we need. After driving all day, to stop at the Carlisle, have dinner at the restaurant and stroll the grounds is... More

My wife and I stayed here for our wedding anniversary. The staff is friendly, but doesn't really go out of their way to assist you. The breakfast is minimal other hotels in the area have a much better hot breakfast. When asked about other area shopping areas, the only places they talk about is what's on their property. Still a... Immaculate, lovely place, in a country setting, highly recommend. One tip: If you like rooms with light, choose the balcony rooms rather than one on the third floor with a small porch overlooking the road. The room I was in (which I requested based on the Web site room description) turned out to be quite dark, which many people prefer... More

Each room at this hotel is done in a different "Amish" style tasteful decor. We had a 2 Queen bed, room with a small balcony facing the front of the hotel. The room was very spacious and had a small table with two chairs, a large secretary style dresser with a flat screen TV available behind the doors of said... More
