We just spent a night in the Buckeye cabin. The cabin itself is nice. Very basic, but clean. The carpet did need repaired, but that wasn't a huge deal to me. The campground itself was clean. Sure, the bathrooms were a little outdated, but they were clean and to me, that's all that matters. My biggest complaint is that when... More

I have been camping all my life and have been to a large variety of campgrounds and this was by far the worst camping experience I as well as my husband have ever had. We checked in late on a Friday evening and set up. Not long thereafter we took a walk to the bathroom/shower building. The facilities are in... More

The cabin was set in a private setting, nice view out the back deck. It was very clean, the furniture and kitchen supplies and appliances were fine. However, the floor was a depressing mess. The carpet was ripped, and the linoleum in the kitchen and entryway looked like it had spray paint all over it. It felt like a cheap,... More

We planned a family 60th birthday weekend trip after Labor day with our group having 7 adults and 2 kids staying in the Acorn cabin. Upon arrival, the sight was very disappointing. The driveway was steep and dangerous to get in and out. The old rotted out deck (with a blue tarp on top) was covered with spider webs and... More

My husband and I wanted to bring our two dogs along with us, so our choices for a cabin were pretty slim. It came down to the Ash Cabin here or another place that looked newer but did not supply linens, bed sheets or towels. Ash Cabin won out. It's not a horrible place, it just cost too much for... Upon driving around trying to find a campground to stay at, this was the only one available. WOW, I see why...My fiance and I stayed here 2 nights and will never return. The sites are crappy, the bathhouse seems like it hasnt been cleaned on remodeled since the 60s as well as the pool.Tent sites are to close, meaning your... More

Nice facilities at this camp ground. The pool looked nice and clean. The camp store was nice, not a lot of stock, but nice, and the girl behind the desk was very helpful, and the pond is pretty. You can take a short hike right from the camp store to Ash Cave. The campground is very kid and pet friendly. Like... More

I guess for the price was looking for a little more. All the basics, nothing particularly bad but nothing outstanding. Due to the area level lots are tough to pull off. Have a large game room for the kids. Staff seemed ok but not extremely friendly. Long and short of it is an ok place in a beautiful area.

We wanted to go camping with friends for my wife's birthday. The only place we found with 2 camper spots side by side was Top o the Caves. We drove about 2.5 hours to find out that we should have stayed home. Upon arrival the girl in the office was not friendly at all. After I signed in we had... More

I will admit that I am extremely "city." After reading reviews here, I was very nervous. After spending two nights in the rustic cabin, Buckeye, I am wondering where the really negative reviews came from. I was extremely satisfied with the cabin's condition. It was very clean and well maintained. I LOOKED for bad things and found none. I was... More
