Unexpected touches made Glenlaurel an exceptional experience for our anniversary celebration. We stayed two nights in a cottage that felt like our own country estate. Very clean, very quiet, and very private. The quality of the management is apparent across the property and in the courteous, discrete staff that personalized our visit. I am usually reluctant to recommend anything without... More

Perfect, from check in to check out. Superb food and beautiful weather made this an outstanding overnight for my daughters and me. Don't let the couples vibe deter you! Take advantage of your environs by hiking this area and old man's cave. (Note: the local hiking is very mild and not strenuous at all.)

Wonderful country-Scottish style estate on the north end of the Hocking Hills recreation area. Our cottage was fully decked out with mini-kitchen, living room, huge bed and walkout access to hot tub for 2 that overlooks a beautiful wooded area. Bathroom does not have fixtures of the Ritz Carlton but this place works-and was spotless. The included breakfasts are wonderful... More

We appreciate your well written, honest review. Yes, no tennis or pool, but we have our lovely, challenging hilly Scottish Links golf course and private trails so you don't have to leave the property and deal with crowds. I was curious as to what was repeated on your dinners (except for the different flavored sorbet each night)-each six or seven... More

Right here in south central Ohio, you can enjoy privacy and very pleasant surroundings for a romantic getaway at Glenlaurel. Scottish themed crofts or cottages, natural wooded scenery, privacy perfect for romance! Excellent, friendly service and delicious food! We enjoyed delicious meals prepared by Josh and staff, and served by Jessica and Lindsay. Lovely, natural grounds for an easy stroll,... More

My husband and I spent 2glorious days in a Glenlaurel croft. The croft was well appointed. The screened porch kept the summer bugs away. The deck hot tub was inviting. Food was quite good though we noticed differences in the skill of chefs. As a diabetic I would have appreciated a few veggies out during happy hour. Carb counts in... More

Thank you for taking the time to review Glenlaurel. Though we offer fruit and olives with our fine cheeses during social hour I like your suggestion of perhaps fresh carrot sticks and broccoli florets as well. I'm glad you got to take advantage of the picnic lunch. Next time ask for a basket that can be used for that day.... More

This was our third visit to Glenlaurel. This time we stayed in the McLeod cottage, and although we were initially disappointed that the crofts we loved were booked, we really enjoyed the cottage. Everything was perfect about our stay. We loved the beautiful surroundings, enjoyed the Jacuzzi and hammock in the woods, and the food was amazing as well! Thank... More

This was our first visit here, but will certainly not be our last. The surroundings were beautiful, our cottage was lovely, with a hot tub on the deck, gas fireplaces, very comfortable bedding... We had dinner at the Inn and the food was superb as well as the service, our complimentary breakfast was very nice with Eggs Benedict, and French... More

Thank you for your glowing review of our luxurious, romantic getaway. I am so thrilled you enjoyed your peaceful time here and even more pleased you'll be returning-maybe this Fall? October is of course popular here but September and November are just as lovely. I look forward to seeing you again! More

This was the third visit to Glenlaurel for my husband and me. The setting, the accommodations, and the atmosphere are conducive to a relaxed couple time experience. We've stayed in a croft each visit. Upon entering the croft, guests find Celtic music playing, soft lighting, and traditional Glenlaurel Scottish shortbread: an excellent welcome that sets the tone for the visit.... More

We just stayed at the one of the cottages for 2 days at Glenlaurel and thoroughly enjoyed it! The setting was spectacular and we enjoyed hiking the gorge, which is on the property. The cottage was comfortable and decorated nicely. We also enjoyed the privacy of the hot tub. The food was excellent! We ate breakfast there both mornings and... More

It's great to hear you took advantage of our own hiking trails and gorge with its 80 plus foot cliffs. After experiencing the spectacular setting as you well said, that private hot tub restores the soul and body for the fine dining. We look forward to hosting you again, perhaps this Fall when the property is even more spectacular! Thank... More

This was our first stay in Hocking Hills area and booking at Glenlaurel was an amazing choice! I am so glad you "tested" us out for your sons. It was a pleasure to meet you and your husband and thank you for your kind words. I, too, like the East Crofts and that is where you should stay next time when Florida gets too hot for you! I look forward to hosting your sons! More
