We have been coming to Glenlaurel for 17 years. Need I say more? Accomodations are wonderful, luxurious, quiet and comfortable. Meals are superb. Hiking is right on the property. Spa services on the property. Your own whirlpool spa in Cottages and Crofts. The new golf course is a relaxing throwback, hit a Mashie and a Niblick to old style sand... More

My husband and I stayed in the Elliot Croft for our 13th anniversary. This was our first time to the Hocking Hills area. The location and setting of Glenlaurel was just beautiful. We could have just stayed on the grounds, if there weren't any other sites to see. The Elliot Croft was very clean and cozy. The crofts were just... More

We had a wonderful time within the serenity of Glenlaurel. We loved the Scottish music that is piped in throughout the manor and our room ( easy to turn off in room if needed). So many nice touches: flowers, shortbread cookies, plush robes in room. Beautiful view overlooking grounds from MacDonald suite.

Thank you. You are so right, it’s all about the details. The MacDonald Suite is a guest favorite where you can smell the bacon in the morning! Look forward to seeing you again soon. More

My wife and I have been to Hocking HIlls on several occasions and have enjoyed wandering the state parks, talking with the naturalist, and enjoyed staying at the Inn and Spa at Cedar Falls. This time we decided to try another well rated place, Glenlaurel. It is outstanding. The "resort" is set along a winding road in the middle of... More

Spent a long weekend at GlenLaurel and enjoyed it immensely. Was great to have a nice breakfast, go do some hiking, then return to the private hot tub before going down to dinner. Will definitely go back. Special shout out to Jessica - who took great care of us at breakfast and dinner (and even made a special trip to... More

Unexpected touches made Glenlaurel an exceptional experience for our anniversary celebration. We stayed two nights in a cottage that felt like our own country estate. Very clean, very quiet, and very private. The quality of the management is apparent across the property and in the courteous, discrete staff that personalized our visit. I am usually reluctant to recommend anything without... More

Perfect, from check in to check out. Superb food and beautiful weather made this an outstanding overnight for my daughters and me. Don't let the couples vibe deter you! Take advantage of your environs by hiking this area and old man's cave. (Note: the local hiking is very mild and not strenuous at all.)

Wonderful country-Scottish style estate on the north end of the Hocking Hills recreation area. Our cottage was fully decked out with mini-kitchen, living room, huge bed and walkout access to hot tub for 2 that overlooks a beautiful wooded area. Bathroom does not have fixtures of the Ritz Carlton but this place works-and was spotless. The included breakfasts are wonderful... More

We appreciate your well written, honest review. Yes, no tennis or pool, but we have our lovely, challenging hilly Scottish Links golf course and private trails so you don't have to leave the property and deal with crowds. I was curious as to what was repeated on your dinners (except for the different flavored sorbet each night)-each six or seven... More

My husband and I spent 2glorious days in a Glenlaurel croft. The croft was well appointed. The screened porch kept the summer bugs away. The deck hot tub was inviting. Food was quite good though we noticed differences in the skill of chefs. As a diabetic I would have appreciated a few veggies out during happy hour. Carb counts in... More

Thank you for taking the time to review Glenlaurel. Though we offer fruit and olives with our fine cheeses during social hour I like your suggestion of perhaps fresh carrot sticks and broccoli florets as well. I'm glad you got to take advantage of the picnic lunch. Next time ask for a basket that can be used for that day.... More
