We stayed for one night (Sunday) & had a good time & had a decent room. Our rate was comparable for what the hotel offers. Our experience with the Front Desk staff was wonderful - very accommodating & polite. It was obvious the weekend partiers had left the island!

OK. I would think that for $300+ a night this would be an exceptionally nice place to stay. Not so much. Granted Put-In-Bay is not a cheap place to stay but this was terrible. First think we were told we were staying in the "new section." Wow, I'd hate to see the inside of the old section. We walked up... More

Hey It's Put-In-Bay and usually when I come here with my buds it's just a place to crash in the first place. I don't expect some luxurious accommodations but, for what you pay for the room you would expect a little more. If your looking for a place to stay for a girls or guys weekend I would recommend the... More

I spent a night with extended family at the Islander Inn last week; from my observations it was just an average hotel. Some of the people working at the desk were just OK, others were very helpful. They do have golf cart rental, which is convenient...but the policy there is to return the cart by 9 PM. For some folks... More

I wish i would have done my home work a little more before agreeing to stay in this hotel. We went as a big group for a friends 40th birthday. We checked in on Thursday July 31st. Room 130 the room smelled horrible, dirty toilet, mold in the bathroom around the shower, broken lamp, dirty sheets. I am not someone... More

My family and I stay at Islander Inn whenever we vacation at Put-in-Bay, and have been loyal guests for over 10 years. It is a good hotel, but do not set your expectations too high. We checked in on the Friday before the island's "Christmas in July" weekend, and the hotel was sold out for the weekend, as it usually... More

This hotel was quite disgusting. We had ants in one of our rooms and a blood stain on the sheets. A friend of ours got a skin rash from the hotel service not cleaning our sheets. I would not recommend this place, I am sure there are plenty of other hotels to stay at for a much more reasonable price... More

Rude font desk room was not ready until 330pm check in was 3pm, no fridge in RM and coolers are not allowed in room. Thus you buy from the pool bar, drinks start at $5 Nightly rate $400. House keeping came at 830am refused to comeback later. Bathroom mold in grout, hair left in shower, tissue holder empty. While hanging... More

First off, I love PIB! It's a blast! The islander inn is NOT a blast! It's smelly, dirty, disguising, awful beds, loud! The only good part is the pool! I would not stay at this hotel again if my life depended on it! It's a rip off for what you pay! I can't believe we paid $360 a night for... More

I'll confine my review to the pool and swim-up bar, because that's where we spent most of our time. There is, like every other pool in Put-in-Bay, a guy playing covers on guitar. The difference between the pools by "Crash Landings" and "Dizzy Lizard" from the rest of pools at Put-In-Bay is that you can actually move in the pools... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Islander Inn is Put-in-Bay's first and largest Caribbean style resort. We have 115 rooms surrounding 4 swimming pools including a large heated pool, conversation pool with a waterfall, 30 person jacuzzi as well as our swim-up-bar pool. The Islander Inn also features the island's original swim-up bar, The Dizzy Lizard. The Dizzy has 9 seats in the water and and seats on land. This is the bar that changed how afternoons were spent on Put in Bay. At the back of our courtyard sits Crash Landings, a bar with an airplane crashed into the top of it. Both of these are open from mid May through mid September, weather permitting. Located between the Islander Inn and our sister hotel, the Grand Islander, sits Put-in-Bay's #1 afternoon hotspot Splash! Splash is the World's Largest Swim-up Bar. We have 97 bar seats in the water and 120 chaise lounge chairs outside of the pool for sunbathing. With live entertainment on the weekends and plenty of other fun during the week, Splash is definitely the place to cool off and have a cold drink with your best friends. Overlooking Splash is The Flaming Skull. The Skull is a full scale pirate ship that sits next to Splash. Guests can walk up on the deck and watch out over the pool while having a drink at the 80 seat bar. Get your picture taken with the captain so your friends will believe you when you say you were on a pirate ship on Put-in-Bay. We are located right in the heart of downtown Put-in-Bay and are within walking distance to most of the major attractions. Should you want to explore the island a little more, we do have golf carts available for rent at our Front Desk with some of the lowest rates on the island. You can rent a cart for a couple hours or go all day if you want. ... more   less
