My women's group from church stayed here for a night away. It was a wonderful time. The hosts were wonderful and we felt right at home. The breakfast had fresh fruit, fresh-baked bread and pancakes. The grounds were lovely and we especially enjoyed sitting by the lake and hanging out in the hot tub. I would definitely stay there again.

Room 8, facing the lagoon. We (wife, 3 yr old daughter & I) were skeptical at choosing a B&B, but went with a great recommendation from a friend. We were surprised by the great welcome. The hosts, Eileen and Jerry took utmost care to make sure that we enjoyed our stay. We will definitely go back at the very next... More

Location , Location , Location! - Excellent Baked goods at breakfast - Excellent Friendliness of hosts - very nice Romantic- Poor Furnishings- dated I phoned,,with reservation of rooms, to discuss with hostess specifically the comments of 2014 reviews stating that mildew odor was in rooms. She reported she was not familiar with such. So when we checked in and the... More

We truly appreciate your honest feedback... we are constantly working to make our suites as clean and comfortable as possible. This year, we've battled record-high rainfalls - and being near a protected wetland area - we recognize that moisture is our constant enemy, and we do try very hard to eliminate odors in the rooms. We appreciate your comments on... More

This is my second visit to Five Bells Inn. I stayed last year on a visit to Catawba Island and was so pleased that I referred some friends who were also coming to Catawba. I stayed in room 4 upstairs the sunflower room. Its beautifully decorated and has a nice cozy feeling to the room. We were able to enjoy... More

Felt welcome from the minute we stepped in the door. The whole house is very warm and inviting. Our room, on the upper level, had a wonderful view of Lake Erie. It was very spacious with a private bathroom. Across the road, you could sit and watch the beautiful sunset in the evening. I would highly recommend staying at Five... More

My wife and I have traveled for many years and have stayed in all kinds of motels, hotels and B&B's. This experience was the first time we did not complete our stay. Arriving late afternoon, check in is after 4PM, a rainy day, we are escorted to one of the cottages. I noticed that every one had the windows open,... More

Thank you for visiting the Five Bells Inn. We are sorry that your visit was not a positive experience. We try our best to make sure that our accommodations are clean and comfortable for guests. Thought we were staying in a beautiful old house. When we arrived in the evening...exhausted, we were escorted out to a dank, musty, little building out behind the house next to a large swampy, buggy pond. The place smelled horribly of mildew. Immediately my allergies started going crazy and sinuses draining. Dirty carpet, old and dusty decor, spongy floors, an antiquated TV,... More

Hello - We apologize that your experience with the Five Bells Inn was not a good one. We realize that the nearby wetlands and Lake Erie, while scenic, do bring some bugs! We're truly sorry that a few snuck into your suite, and we will definitely make sure to try and prevent this in the future. We have been working... More

My husband and I stayed at Five Bells this week, and we had the most relaxing time ever. We enjoyed the hot tub and watching the sun set every night. The bed was quite comfortable, and the cottage (behind the main house) that we stayed in had been clean, comfortable, and relaxing. The jacuzzi was pretty awesome too. There was... More

I give Five Bells a 10! What a beautiful Bed and Breakfast. We met some friends in Port Clinton. We stayed in the main house and had a wonderful view of Lake Erie.
