we had a great stay in port clinton. The hotel is beautiful. The staff was great and very accommodating. Beds are comfortable, hot breakfast included in morning, and room are nicely decorated although small.

One night stay. On a fishing charter early next morning. I love old hotels, this one is a gem. But if squeaky floors, small bathroom and ghost stories are not your think then look else ware. Beds are comfortable, rooms are nicely appointed. Hot breakfast included opened at 6 am was great for our schedule.

The 2-bed, 3rd floor bedroom and bathroom were very clean but in the bathroom there was hardly any space to put your toiletries, etc. One short shelf is all there was. Also there was no night table at all, so we had to just put stuff on the floor. That was very inconvenient. The free WiFi was VERY slow. Also,... More

Stayed a single night in Port Clinton at the Island House while I was at the Magee Marsh Warbler Festival. Nice clean, comfortable rooms the staff was courteous and helpful including recommending the excellent Irish restaurant across the street for dinner. The only negatives where the very small size of the room and there was no desk or chair to... More

In Port Clinton, Indiana, we stayed at the fine The Island House Hotel. Our room, 2203, was nice but the view of the backyard was a bit dull. Two plus was that the hotel had a very good restaurant and a nice bar. The complimentary breakfast was disappointing.

We were in a queen room on the third floor that was too small for us. There is very little room between the foot of the bed and the wall to walk through. We think it measured about 8 x 10. Perhaps a king room is larger. The staff is so very friendly and helpful. And compared to the other... More

This is my 3rd year staying at The Island House Hotel for my Mother's Day birdwatching trip. The service has always been great and friendly, the rooms are super clean, the towels and blankets are soft, and the beds are the most comfortable I've ever slept in. I want one at home!! I love the rain head showers, and it's... More

Room was reasonably clean and had high ceilings and nice windows looking out on the street. Bathroom was nicely updated for a historic building. It did take like 10 mins for the water to get warm enough in the shower, but it did work fine. The furniture in the room was a little beat up. I appreciated the mini fridge,... More

We loved the historic inn with beautiful decorations of early 20th century. High ceilings, clean bathrooms with each room. We stayed in the King bed jacuzzi suite. Only disappointment, the jacuzzi tub was only big enough for one person and the "hot" water was not very hot. (We were warned about the lack of hot water). Ate in the 1812... More

great hotel... free wifi. Live music in the hotel and surrounding bars. it does take some time for the hot water to get warm but overall stay was fantastic. We stayed in a corner suite great view of the downtown area. 1/4 mile to the jet express.
