I could not disagree with the previous posters more. The room was spotless, the view of the lake and fountain was spectacular, the staff were congenial and professional from the Pool Bartender (Jeff B) to the hostess and waitresses in the WatersEdge. I'm not sure that I see a problem with "outsiders" using certain facilities (the pool is restricted to... more

We have stayed at Maumee three times in four years. Overall, the place is great, staff is friendly and lots of activities to participate in. Great for kids. However, at our third visit the cottages have become run-down and almost to the point of being filthy. Carpet is stained, various things found under furniture, over-all dusty, etc. Just need a... more

Family oriented resort with indoor/outdoor swimming pool, playground/beach/nature walk. A nice hotel with all the amenities and right on beach. Unfortunately our room, one of the expensive loft rooms, was quite musty and therefore my experience was somewhat disappointing. However the pool areas were great for the kids and they enjoyed the nature walks very much. The inland lake was... more

I booked a 4 bedroom cottage with a group of friends. We were attending a wedding at the resort. First of all, this is a GREAT place to have a wedding! The ballroom has a balcony where you can look out at the water/sunset. Anyways, the cottages were very well equipped. They weren't five star or anything, but it was... more

Our family loves Maumee Resort and the quiet refuge from busy life it provides. Our children especially love the nature center on site and exploring all the books, games and animals inside. The small playground served as a great spot for excess energy and the walking loops -- great! We saw deer in the nature loop nearly every day of... more

If you have previously stayed at state park resorts in the Midwest, you’ll probably give this one a good rating. The rooms are spacious, with nice views of Lake Erie. The public areas are modern and impressive. However, our room’s balcony was unusable due to spiders (Albeit a common problem on Lake Erie), and the grounds looked like they could’ve... more

If you are going to Maumee Bay for the first time then you should stay here. There are special packages avaiable. Look into it. The raquet ball courts, ping pong and pool are cool. Worth a 2 nite stay to relax and see lake Erie and walk a trail or two. G Man more

My husband and I wanted to have a romantic weekend getaway away from the kids and saw Maumee advertised on vistiohio.com. We reserved the buckeye package as it was a great value. Dinner one night, Breakfast both nights and a gift certificate to the gift shop. We checked in and took a walk to the indoor pool. There were two... more

We stayed at the Maumee Bay Resort and Conference Center on May 20-21, 2006, having two adjoining rooms. The requested adjoining rooms were available as requested, and had a view of the lake. The facility has two swimming pools, one indoor and one outside. There is also a large sheltered beach area for swimming. Extensive nature walks were available along... more

Having heard over the years some great comments about Maumee Bay Resort thought we would spend a winter weekend there- when the rates were on package specials- and with a chance of snow to possibly get in some cross-country skiing... We booked a king room- which literally overlooked Lake Erie and we enjoyed a nearly private view as the temperatures... more
