The Inn was delightful and filled with classic Victorian furniture and furnishings. We were treated like royalty found our accommodation clean, comfortable and educational. We were impressed with the Oberlain community that surrounded the historic College and its campus! A true Midwest Treasure. The Inn was the ideal place for us to get a real flavor during our stay.

Ron extended us a warm welcome. The front room was clean and spacious. We most enjoyed the effort put into serving a nice breakfast a pleasant stay in Oberlin. We definitely would recommend staying there instead of the local hotel, perhaps even after its badly needed renovation.

We stayed here last-minute without a reservation, but the hosts were extremely friendly and accommodating. A gorgeous, well-kept old house with a wonderful, spacious room. Quiet and relaxing. Breakfast was yummy, and fun too with conversation among fellow guests and our host. Would definitely recommend this place.

I've never before been to a B&B where the hosts never made an appearance. It was self-check in, which was fine, and there was a note on the staircase that night saying they were gone for the evening and leaving an emergency phone number. That was okay too. But no one was there for breakfast, either. No note of explanation.... More

I am sure this was a 1 night stay during the week, when I was on vacation. In this situation,I explain to guests in advance that Steve ( other owner) is a landscape designer and will set up the breakfast before he departs for work at 7:30am. And he does do a lovely job of setting up breakfast. He leaves... More

This B&B has a beautiful garden. Parking is a little tricky. My room was gorgeous with its own bathroom. Lots of cute thrift shop/flea market finds. The owners have great taste! The room was very comfortable. The house smelled amazing when I arrived and I guess the owners were getting breakfast ready for the next morning but alas, I could... More

I stayed here with two friends (all Oberlin alumni) for a wedding. We had a very late flight and arrived after midnight. Ron made sure we were able to get our key and even left notes for us in the entryway explaining how to find our room and how to sign up for breakfast. The beds were so comfortable. The... More

The Ivy Tree Inn is a quaint B&B in Oberlin, Ohio that I had the pleasure of staying in recently. It is the character of the place that is so wonderful. It has a very homey and warm feel to it, that is partially due to the gorgeous old house, the artistically crafted gardens, and also to the friendly host.... More

I stayed at the Ivy Tree during a week long summer conference at the Oberlin Conservatory and was very satisfied all around! I didn't spend much time at the Inn outside of sleeping and breakfast, but the room was very comfortable, the bathroom was clean and roomy for one person, and the breakfast was always delicious (a main dish of... If you're going to Oberlin, Ohio, you want to stay at the Ivy Tree Inn. The rooms are quaint, homey, spotless. The beds comfy, the breakfast, delicious. The landscaping around the Ivy Tree is akin to a botanic garden, gorgeous greenery. A 2 minute drive from Tappan Square, the center of the town and the college. Ron and Steve, the... More

We stayed here for three nights - we chose this spot because of the proximity to the bike path. Our room was the smallest one (our choice). But boy was it small - queen bed with just enough room to walk around the bed. The bathroom was across from our room - our use only. The breakfasts were just ok.... More

The guest requested the least expensive room The small room is the lowest rate. When they checked in, they made no comment nor did they ask to change rooms? As for the the breakfast. We can provide hundreds of positive responses as to how much people like the food? And how satisified they were with the amount of food served... More
