Not a bad hotel. But wouldn't return. The place is a maze and the lobby and rooms are dated. But the room I stayed in was surprisingly large and had a balcony. I feel this place would be very accommodating to families.

When you walk into the Cherry Valley Lodge in Newark, OH, there is a very nice lobby and very nice people that accommodate your needs. There is the Coco Key water park just right outside the water park- and if you have kids- they will LOVE it. When you walk up to the rooms- you may notice that they are... More

We stayed for 2 nights expecting a nice relaxing weekend. Instead, it was a fight to get service anywhere we went and people were out right rude. The game room employee was reading a book and the majority of games were out of service. We spent $20 for my children to play games, half of their tokens were eaten by... More

Cherry Valley Lodge has its ups and downs. Pros- Amazing water park (2 twisted slides, rope climbing, hot tub, kiddy pool), a cool game room with a ticketing machine + a prize counter and an amazing restaurant Cons- Strange set up of room, pools have too much chlorine in them and they have very rude lifeguards. We stayed a night... More

Stayed here for 2 nights (Fri-Sun) so our kids could go to the water park. I should know better to go off website pictures, but it looked so nice online that I let myself get excited about the stay. Boy, was I wrong! We had to request to be moved from our first 2 rooms because there is black mold... More

This was a excellent trip!!! The kids had a great time!!!! The bartender was super in the play area. I will definitely go back. The staff was excellent. The only thing i could say negative is...the TV can not be seen from both beds.

The resort itself is ok and the water park is nice. My kids are really enjoying their time here , however no one can tell me what is safe for my son to eat. No one has an ingredient list or a clue where to look for one. When asking anyone you get that deer in the headlights look with... More

This is an older hotel with lovely grounds and spacious rooms are a plus. I was in the area for a meeting and would have liked on-site afternoon "snack" area. Restaurant and Bar have limited hours. There is a refrig in the room so get your snacks before arrival. I was in the #600 king room area and enjoyed the... More

I was disappointed with the Cherry Valley Lodge. The facility is getting rundown and could use some maintenance. Our sink and tab would not drain and we asked 3-4 times to get it fixed but nothing. Each time I reported it the staff acted like it was the first time they have ever heard of the problem.

Called a few weeks before our arrival to change our reservation, and the staff member was rude and rushed me through the call. When we arrived, our room was dirty (in general and there was a used washcloth and an old dry cleaning bag on the floor in the closet). The shower curtain wasn't wide enough to cover the entire...
